Requirements:

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient neurology care at Grady Hospital's clinic, managing autoimmune and general neurological disorders, with a schedule of seven half-days per week when not on inpatient service
  • Cover inpatient neurology consultation service at Grady Hospital for six weeks, with six weekends of inpatient rounds; outpatient duties are not performed during inpatient service
  • Lead and participate in teaching and supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows, including bedside teaching; contribute to ongoing research and scholarly activities
  • Collaborate with the Department of Neurology and Emory leadership on departmental needs and opportunities; adhere to in-person requirements with department policies on remote work as applicable

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Service as a Neurologist for the Division of General Neurology within the Department of Neurology.
  • Your clinical practice will primarily occur within the outpatient neurology clinic at Grady Hospital seeing a mixture of patients with autoimmune neurological disorders along with a wide variety of general neurological disorders.
  • In consideration of the total clinical time (outpatient plus inpatient time), your outpatient neurology clinic schedule will include seven (7) half-days per week when not covering the inpatient consultation service.
  • You will also have six (6) weeks on the inpatient neurology consultation service at Grady Hospital.
  • You will not have outpatient clinical duties when working on the inpatient consultation service.
  • Six (6) weekends of inpatient rounds at Grady Hospital will also be included.

You will have four (4) weeks of vacation time per year.

Responsibilities subject to change at the discretion of departmental leadership to address needs and opportunities

 

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location.  Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
