  • Coordinates with Marketing in managing annual HCP budgets.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES

To assist the Compliance Office in administering Merit’s Global Compliance Policy, including the monitoring and enforcement of Merit’s Corporate Integrity Agreement. Will act as a liaison with all Merit employees seeking to engage with healthcare professionals (“HCPs”), to ensure that all engagements are in compliance with Merit’s policies and procedures.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participates in and provides compliance support for projects and initiatives with moderate to high risk to identify, assess and mitigate compliance risk in business activities.
  • Identifies, documents and reports findings and issues to the Chief Compliance Officer or Regional Compliance Manager.
  • Interacts with Merit personnel in the creation of  HCP Needs Assessments, managing and approving physician engagements and marketing events to ensure each is supported by necessary documentation pursuant to Merit’s policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates with Marketing in managing annual HCP budgets.
  • Manages ongoing screening of contractors with a working knowledge of onboarding and due diligence best practices.
  • Assists in the maintenance of centralized, online tracking tools for engaging with and supervising HCP consultants.
  • Manages the tracking, data aggregation, and reporting of transfers of value to health care providers to ensure compliance with Sunshine laws and regulations in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region and other countries.
  • Enhances and maintains online distributor training on anti-corruption laws and practices, including monitoring and enforcing completion requirements.
  • Assists in managing online employee and distributor training.
  • Maintains the ethical and professional standards of the compliance profession in the business environment.
  • Performs a variety of other related duties, as required.

SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree and two years of related experience, such as in the legal or regulatory fields.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally and diplomatically.
  • Strong technical aptitude and business systems management experience.
  • Self-motivated independent worker
  • Perform to a high level of accuracy in all tasks, attention to details.
  • Highly adaptable, flexible and willing to accept new ideas, processes, and procedures.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • Demonstrated computer skills with spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Compliance experience in the life sciences field.
