Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced SAP TM Functional Consultant who can transform blueprint designs into a fully configured, tested, and production-ready SAP Transportation Management solution. The role involves end-to-end SAP TM configuration for a large CPG client, covering carrier tendering, freight settlement, dock scheduling, transportation planning, and shipment execution.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on SAP TM implementation expertise, excellent workshop facilitation skills, and the ability to work closely with transportation business users and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities SAP TM Configuration & Solution Design
- Configure SAP TM functional areas including:
- Freight Order Management
- Carrier Selection & Tendering (Waterfall, Broadcast, Spot Bid)
- Transportation Planning
- Shipment Execution & Monitoring
- Event Processing & Tracking
- Configure freight settlement processes including:
- Calculation Sheets
- Multi-dimensional Rate Tables (up to 14 dimensions)
- Charge Calculation Rules
- Invoice Verification
- Dispute Management Workflows
- Configure:
- Carrier master data
- Business Partners with SCAC codes
- Equipment and vehicle types
- Hazardous material certifications
- Freight agreement structures
Transportation Planning & Integration
- Configure transportation zones and lanes for accurate rate determination
- Support integrations with:
- PC Miler (FTL)
- SMC3 (LTL)
- BN4L Carrier Collaboration
- Configure:
- Dock Scheduling
- Appointment Management
- Time Slot Allocation
- Enable and configure SAP Fiori applications and Transportation Cockpits for:
- Dispatchers
- Planners
- Analysts
Testing, Documentation & Support
- Prepare Functional Specification Documents (FSDs) for:
- BAdI enhancements
- BRF+ developments
- Execute:
- Unit Testing
- String/Integration Testing
- SIT & UAT Support
- Perform:
- Defect analysis
- Issue resolution
- Test script preparation
- Support data migration activities for:
- Carrier master data
- Transportation lanes
- Rate structures
Business & Stakeholder Engagement
- Conduct workshops and design discussions with business users
- Translate existing transportation processes into SAP TM solutions
