The Opportunity: A Career-Defining Role

SailPoint is seeking a highly strategic, deeply technical Advisory Agentic Technologist to join our globally distributed Agentic Technologists team. Supporting the AMER region (US, Canada, and LATAM), you will join an elite group of Principal and Advisory-level resources tasked with unlocking the potential of SailPoint’s global sales/solution engineering scale and tapping into our powerful new agentic product stack.

Why this role is unique: While our newly formed team boasts incredible AI and machine learning practitioners, we need a master of Identity. We are looking for an absolute powerhouse in enterprise IAM/IGA to anchor our AI innovations in deep, real-world identity realities. You will serve as the bridge between legacy, complex identity architectures and the autonomous, agent-driven future, proving the immense value of our Agentic Identity Security offerings to our most strategic customers.

---

What You'll Do

  • Be the Identity Anchor for Agentic AI: Serve as the definitive Subject Matter Expert (SME) on enterprise identity within the AI team. You will help our AI practitioners ground their agents in the realities of complex governance, lifecycle management, and enterprise risk, ensuring our solutions are as secure and compliant as they are innovative.

  • Drive Technical Success: As a senior advisory technologist for the AMER region, you will orchestrate the technical strategy for our most critical engagements. You will personally lead these complex opportunities from discovery through to final architectural design, unlocking customer potential by delivering our industry-leading Top-3 Agent Workshops (T3AW).

  • Pioneer the "Agentic Story": Collaborate with world-class, like-minded individuals to build and iterate on technical assets that showcase how SailPoint gives organizations the confidence to securely deploy and manage AI agents at scale within deeply complex IAM environments.

  • Field Evangelism & Thought Leadership: Present at high-profile industry events across the Americas, lead executive workshops, and enable the broader AMER sales engineering team on how to articulate and demonstrate the intersection of deep IGA and Agentic AI.

  • Strategic Partner Enablement: Work closely with strategic partners across the US, Canada, and LATAM to unlock the reach of our products. You will help create and deliver scaled enablement programs, equipping partners with the deep technical and identity-focused knowledge required to deploy our agentic solutions.

  • Influence the Future: Partner closely with Product Management and senior leadership to provide critical "feet-on-the-ground" feedback. You will directly influence the product roadmap by identifying the friction points where cutting-edge AI meets legacy enterprise infrastructure.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Unrivaled Identity & Access Management (IAM/IGA) Expertise: Deep, battle-tested experience in enterprise identity governance, role-based access control (RBAC), least privilege, and complex lifecycle management. You are an expert at dissecting and transforming legacy identity architectures and understand the nuances of how massive enterprises manage risk.

  • Non-Human & Machine Identity Mastery: Extensive familiarity with securing service accounts, API keys, and machine identities (e.g., SPIFFE/SPIRE, workload identity, secrets management), which is critical as we secure AI agents themselves.

  • Applied AI & Agentic Aptitude: While you are an Identity expert first, you must have hands-on experience with—or a massive, demonstrable aptitude for—Agentic AI frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGPT) and cloud AI platforms (AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, Azure OpenAI).

  • Advanced Architecture & Scripting Skills: High proficiency in integrating complex systems via APIs. Strong scripting/development skills in Python (highly preferred) and/or Java/JavaScript to build custom demo integrations, automation scripts, and custom agentic workflows for POCs.

  • Strategic & Technical Communication: The rare ability to explain "the why" and business value to a CISO, CDO, or CIO, while seamlessly pivoting to whiteboard "the how" with Lead Identity Architects and AI developers.

  • Language: Fluent English is required; professional proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is a strong plus for supporting the LATAM market.
