Key Responsibilities & Management Preferences:

Working within the NC DHHS Division of State Operated Healthcare Facilities tasked with providing direct care to individuals with needs that surpass community service capabilities, this program management role will leverage expert project management knowledge, experience designing complex implementation plans, and skill advancing through key milestones on schedule to accountably implement a vendor-designed training program for direct care providers to competently utilize de-escalation theory and practice while interacting with patients/residents.

This evidence-based safety training program developed by a contracted vendor includes both classroom education and physical skills mastery. The training model must be delivered with fidelity to equip direct care providers with the ability to minimize risk of assaultive behavior and resulting injuries to service recipients and caregivers.

This role will require establishing and maintaining strong partnerships with both external vendor resources and local facility staff development (employee training) leaders to implement a training program that conforms with vendor expectations and satisfies regulatory requirements.

Training program implementation will require design and deployment of a train-the-trainer model to be followed by training of several thousand frontline care personnel situated at facilities across North Carolina.

Deliverables will include a detailed project plan, project timeline, meeting scheduling and facilitation, support and coordination for key stakeholders, tracking of training completion, and specification of ongoing periodic activities to sustain training programs as new direct care employees arrive for orientation.

Some state job postings say you can qualify by an “equivalent combination of education and experience.” If that language appears below, then you may qualify through EITHER years of education OR years of directly related experience, OR a combination of both.
