Job description

Overview:

At Vision Innovation Partners, our purpose is simple: protect and restore vision. As one of the nation’s leading ophthalmology and optometry platforms, we partner with practices, providers, and clinical teams across multiple states to deliver exceptional patient care while building a high-performing, patient-centered organization.

We are seeking a hands-on, highly organized, and execution-focused leader to join our team as Director, Enterprise Project Management. This is not a traditional “sit behind the scenes” PMO role. We are looking for an operationally minded project leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys bringing structure to complexity, and can drive enterprise initiatives from idea to execution through strong coordination, follow-through, and partnership across teams.

The ideal candidate is equal parts organizer, facilitator, problem-solver, and relationship builder, someone who can lead executive project discussions in the morning and work through detailed implementation plans with operational teams in the afternoon.

Responsibilities:

What You’ll Do

You will serve as a central coordination point for many of the organization’s highest-priority initiatives, helping leaders stay aligned, projects stay on track, and teams stay focused on execution. Key responsibilities include:

Enterprise Project Leadership

  • Personally lead and coordinate multiple enterprise initiatives simultaneously across operational, clinical, and support center functions
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, risk logs, and accountability trackers
  • Facilitate project meetings, steering committees, and executive working sessions
  • Drive follow-up, issue resolution, and cross-functional coordination to keep initiatives moving forward
  • Escalate risks, delays, and competing priorities appropriately

Organizational Coordination & Execution

  • Partner closely with operational, clinical, and support center leaders to align priorities and improve execution consistency
  • Help manage organizational capacity and identify project conflicts or change saturation
  • Ensure projects account for clinical workflows, patient experience, staffing realities, and operational impact
  • Support implementation of enterprise initiatives across a multi-site healthcare environment

Visibility, Communication & Accountability

  • Maintain enterprise-level visibility into active initiatives, timelines, dependencies, and progress
  • Translate complex project information into concise executive updates and actionable next steps
  • Standardize project management tools, meeting cadence, dashboards, and reporting
  • Reinforce accountability and follow-through across teams without direct management authority
Qualifications:

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who enjoys operating in the middle of the action, someone energized by bringing clarity, organization, and momentum to complex environments.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of project, program, or operational leadership experience
  • Proven success managing complex, cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong facilitation, organizational, and execution skills
  • Ability to influence and drive accountability without direct authority
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Operations, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare, physician practice management, ambulatory care, ophthalmology, or optometry
  • PMP, Agile, Lean, or related project management certification
  • Experience supporting operational, systems, or technology implementations
  • Experience working in a high-growth or private equity-backed environment
  • MBA, MHA, or related advanced degree
