Requirements:

Originate and process all residential mortgage loans in compliance with policies and regulations; interview members and analyze finances to determine eligibility
Develop and maintain relationships with area realtors, realtor associations, and groups/events to promote the mortgage program and generate self-sourced leads
Verify and assemble required documentation (employment history, earnings, credit, property value, taxes, flood certification) to ensure timely underwriting and closing and comply with fair lending laws
Achieve individual sales goals, cross-sell all credit union products, and participate in business development and community activities while adhering to service standards and policies

We grew rapidly, serving only employees, retirees and family members of Johns Manville. Job description

Responsible for growth and development of the mortgage program at the credit union, through self-generated mortgage leads with no access to internal referrals. This position promotes mortgage lending through contacts with realtors, builders and networking. This position is responsible for all aspects of residential mortgage loan origination and processing. Remains front line contact with customers and realtors to ensure that documents required for processing, underwriting, and closing are secured in a timely manner. The salary for this position is 100% commission.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develops valued relationships by establishing rapport with area realtor contacts and realtor associations to ensure continued financial partnerships.
Participate in outside realtor groups/events and other avenues to increase awareness of Colorado Credit Union mortgage program.
Responsible for the origination of all residential mortgage loans in accordance with established goals and standards for the credit union and in compliance with all company, third party, agreed, local, states, and federal guidelines, rules, and regulations associated with residential lending.
Interviews members applying for residential mortgage loans, obtaining pertinent financial and loan information from the member. Analyzes the member’s financial posture to determine if it meets minimum loan criteria established by credit union.
Ensure the protection of the credit union’s assets through adequate and accurate verification of property values, tax assessments, members’ employment history and earnings, credit information, flood certification and other necessary data utilized in loan decisioning.
Consistently educating oneself with regulatory changes as well as investor changes.
Cross sell all credit union products and services.
Meets or exceeds individual sales goals in order to support the achievement of overall CU goals.
Participate in credit union business development and community volunteer opportunities.
Adhere to all service standards as outlined in the credit union’s policies and procedures.
Ensures that lending operations are conducted in accordance with established Credit Union policies, procedures, approval authority and all fair lending laws (i.e. Equal Credit Opportunity Act , Consumer Credit Protection Act, Truth In Lending Act, Fair Housing Act and Home Mortgage Disclosure Act, etc). Ensures compliance with the non-discrimination provisions of applicable fair lending laws and regulations.
Perform other duties as requested or needed.
