Requirements:

  • Maintain the HiBob platform with up-to-date records and organizational updates; explore and implement new workflows to maximize platform utility; support data audits for accuracy and privacy compliance.
  • Support end-to-end employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding for global hires, assisting with milestones, and managing offboarding.
  • Assist with HR data management tasks, including maintaining employee information in HR databases, attendance tracking, visa applications, internship agreements (Convenios), and benefits administration.
  • Organize team events and contribute to Smadex culture by maintaining internal communications channels and Notion knowledge bases.

Job description

Smadex is a leading advertising technology company founded in Barcelona in 2010 and sold to American-based and stock-listed Entravision in 2018 (NYSE::EVC). We power campaigns for Apps, Games and Brands across Mobile and CTV using advanced machine learning and optimized creative strategies to deliver results. Smadex is one of the fastest growing DSPs and we are adding talent to fuel our ambitious plans. 

This is a 6-month full-time internship in Barcelona, with the real possibility to become an employee afterwards subject to performance and results. 
 

As we continue to expand our global team, we need an HR Operations Intern to support our worldwide People Operations. Working under the guidance of our HR Operations Analyst, you will help ensure that our employees feel supported from their first day through every key milestone of their journey. 

Your Role focuses 100% on People Operations worldwide. You will work as the right hand to HR team in the following areas: 

HR Systems & Data Maintenance 

  • Assist the team in keeping the HiBob platform up to date with accurate records and organizational updates.
  • Help us explore and implement new workflows in Bob to ensure we are maximizing the platform's utility.
  • Help maintain our internal communication channels and knowledge bases on Notion to keep employees informed and engaged.
  • Support data audits to ensure 100% accuracy and compliance with data privacy regulations.

Employee Experience & Lifecycle Support

  • Help execute a seamless onboarding process for new team members globally, from document collection to supporting welcoming and company induction activities for new hires.
  • Support team members through key career milestones and the offboarding process.
  • Assist with university internship agreements (Convenios), visa applications, and tracking employee attendance.
  • Support with maintaining and updating employee information in HR databases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Support with benefits administration, managing enrollments, addressing questions, and troubleshooting issues with external providers.
  • Support with tracking and managing employee attendance and absences, ensuring timely updates and compliance with policies.
  • If needed help organize our monthly TGIF events, rooftop BBQs in our Barcelona penthouse, and team-building activities.
  • Act as a steward of the Smadex culture, providing creative feedback to improve our workflows.

Your skills and experience: 

  • Immediate availability to start is highly important for this role.
  • Excellent English (written and spoken) is mandatory to work with our international team of 40+ nationalities. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with our global team.
  • Solid command of Excel for data maintenance and reporting tasks.
  • Strong interest in AI and how technology can transform HR operations.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or similar.

Please note that we do NOT provide VISA sponsorship. Candidates must have a legal permit to work in Spain to be considered.
