Social Content Manager, Strategy

  • As a Social Content Manager on the Strategy team, you will be the day-to-day driver behind a high-profile client’s community and content operations across Instagram, Discord, Reddit, and Telegram. This dynamic, platform-focused role involves managing active community channels, producing and publishing content at scale, and adapting client assets to fit the unique expectations of each platform.

  • You will collaborate closely with internal strategists and the client to maintain a consistent publishing cadence, uphold brand and compliance standards, and execute against a defined monthly deliverable plan. You are organized and efficient, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams across community management and content production.

  • This is a remote role open to candidates based in Canada. You are comfortable working independently while collaborating with a distributed team, and confident managing multiple deliverables in a fast-paced virtual environment.

Responsibilities

Content Development

  • Produce and publish link and engagement posts to the client’s Discord server, maintaining a consistent voice and brand-aligned tone across post types.

  • Publish content to Reddit and Telegram, adapting content to align with platform expectations and audience behaviours.

  • Resize and adapt static assets from Instagram and Reddit for use across community platforms, ensuring all assets meet brand standards, including approved fonts, color usage, logo placement, and safe zone guidelines.

  • Write platform-appropriate copy for each channel, adjusting tone and format to align with Discord, Reddit, and Telegram communities while maintaining consistency with the client’s brand.

  • Maintain a consistent visual identity and voice across all content types and platforms.

  • Proactively escalate issues, trends, opportunities, and insights through the appropriate channels in a timely manner.

  • Stay informed on emerging platforms and technologies, and share relevant insights with the team.

  • Participate in client meetings and stay informed on the tools and platforms they use. Provide support, share opportunities, and offer recommendations, including education on ICUC’s capabilities.

Reporting and Insights

  • Track and analyze content performance metrics and apply insights to inform future content decisions.

  • Deliver regular performance updates to internal stakeholders.

  • Identify and share at least one proactive engagement opportunity or trend recommendation per month.

Stakeholder and Team Collaboration

  • Participate in client-facing meetings and contribute recommendations and platform expertise.

  • Collaborate with creative teams on asset development and ensure all content is reviewed before publishing.

  • Stay current on platform updates, algorithm changes, and sports betting content trends; share knowledge with the broader team as needed.

Who You Are

  • You bring 3–5 years of social media experience, including hands-on experience managing brand or client presence on platforms such as Instagram, Discord, Reddit, or Telegram.

  • You have an interest in sports and familiarity with sports culture, fan communities, or a willingness to quickly build knowledge in this space.

  • You are familiar with community platform dynamics, including Discord server structures and events, Reddit engagement practices, and Telegram publishing approaches.

  • You have experience managing content across multiple platforms while maintaining quality and consistency.

  • You are comfortable using tools such as Canva, Adobe Express, CapCut, or similar for quick-turn content creation.

  • You have experience with social media management tools such as Sprinklr, Hootsuite, or Khoros.

  • You have strong writing skills and can adapt tone and style for different audiences and platforms.

  • You are detail-oriented and brand-aware, with an understanding of visual guidelines and content best practices.

  • You are organized and able to manage multiple deliverables in a collaborative, fast-moving remote environment.

  • You communicate clearly and effectively in English, both written and verbal.

  • You have a genuine interest in online communities and digital culture, and are comfortable engaging in spaces where tone, timing, and authenticity are important.

  • A portfolio or examples of past content creation work is considered an asset.

Additional Requirements: 

  • Willingness to undergo a Criminal Record Check as part of the pre-employment screening process. 

  • The ability to utilize a desktop computer or laptop that meets minimum system requirements, ensuring efficiency in remote work environments. 

  • Access to high-speed internet, with a minimum speed of 30 mb/s, to support work activities and online collaboration. 

  • Adequate headset/mic and webcam, facilitating clear and effective communication in virtual meetings and presentations. 

  • Fluency in English, with the ability to speak and write clearly and persuasively. Proficiency in additional languages is considered an asset, reflecting the global nature of the role.

Employees who live within a commutable distance of one of our hub offices, currently located in Chicago, metro Detroit, Los Angeles, and New York City, are required and expected to work from the office three days per week (two days per week for employees based in Los Angeles). Dentsu may designate other Hub offices at any time. Those who live outside a commutable range may be designated as remote, depending on the role and business needs. The annual salary range for this position is $60K-$70K USD. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
