Job Description
This role is responsible for building and sustaining strong, long‑term partnerships with key customers across the GB poultry industry. Through a deep understanding of customer needs, challenges and opportunities, the role develops and delivers account plans that deliver value to our customers and drive sustainable growth for our company, while supporting animal welfare, sustainable production and the responsible use of medicines.
Working across a broad customer base, the role collaborates closely within the Poultry Species Team and wider cross‑functional groups to align customer strategy, insight and execution. Success in this role is driven by strong customer relationships at all levels, high‑quality commercial decision‑making, and the ability to position our company’s Animal Health as a trusted, long‑term strategic partner through its innovative portfolio of biopharmaceuticals and technology.
Responsibilities:
- Key Account & Relationship Leadership
- Build and sustain long‑term, strategic relationships with key poultry customers, influencers and decision‑makers, positioning our company’s Animal Health as a trusted partner.
- Develop deep customer insight to identify needs, opportunities and risks, acting as the primary owner of overall account relationships.
- Represent the customer voice internally, ensuring field insight informs business decisions and long‑term strategy.
- Develop, implement and deliver key account plans that drive sales growth in line with Integrated Livestock Business Unit strategy and agreed financial targets.
- Lead commercial activity within accounts, including pricing, promotional strategies, negotiation and share‑of‑wallet growth.
- Use market insight to support accurate forecasting, prioritisation and risk management.
- Collaboration & Internal Partnership
- Work closely with the Poultry Species Team, including Commercial and Technical colleagues, to deliver coordinated, high‑quality customer solutions.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (National Accounts, Operations, Customer Services, Finance) to meet customer expectations and deliver mutual value.
- Act as an internal subject‑matter resource based on strong customer, market and industry knowledge.
- Technical Engagement & Industry Contribution
- Support technical engagement and on‑farm activity in collaboration with technical colleagues, demonstrating value through practical application and training.
- Represent our company’s Animal Health at internal and external industry events, strengthening our company’s reputation and industry relationships.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and innovative approaches to how our company’s supports the GB poultry industry.
