  • Perform inventory counts and process material and production transactions in SAP from receipt through final product; conduct frequent quality checks and document results
  • Record batch and production activities, identify opportunities for process improvement, cost savings, and waste reduction; ensure compliance with safety, GMP standards, and company procedures

About the role

As a Packaging Technician, you will support high‑speed manufacturing operations by working on fully automated toothpaste packaging lines in a GMP‑regulated environment. This hands‑on role involves operating equipment, handling materials, completing quality checks, and maintaining accurate production documentation while prioritizing safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Role Responsibilities

  • Operate state‑of‑the‑art, fully automated packaging lines running at speeds of up to 450 tubes per minute

  • Handle packaging materials and finished goods, including cartons, shippers, labels, pallets, and related supplies

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and work areas

  • Perform routine autonomous maintenance to keep packaging lines running efficiently

  • Assist maintenance technicians with preventive maintenance activities

  • Conduct inventory counts of packaging materials and finished products

  • Perform material and production transactions in SAP, from receipt through final product

  • Complete frequent quality checks and accurately document results

  • Record batch and production activities in computerized systems

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost savings, and waste reduction

  • Follow all safety requirements, GMP standards, and company procedures, including work instructions and batch documentation

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

  • ​A minimum of a HS Diploma/GED is required.

  • This is an entry level position; prior work experience is preferred but not required.

  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, every other weekend off.

  • Ability to routinely lift up to 55 pounds, stand, bend and walk for extended periods of time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Manufacturing or Production environment experience preferred.

  • PIT/forklift experience is preferred.

  • Experience with equipment/machinery maintenance and changeovers is a plus.

  • Basic computer, math and measurement abilities strongly preferred.

Location – this role is based in: Oak Hill, NY (East Durham). This is not a remote opportunity.

Starting Pay for this position is $22.50/hr plus any applicable shift differential.

Shift: Nights 7pm-7am, rotating schedule – every other weekend off.
