Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Consultant to join our Analytics team. In this role, you will help clients gain tangible value from their data by enabling analytics, data visualization, and self-service BI solutions on modern data platforms. You will collaborate closely with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into impactful dashboards, reports, and data models. You will work with technologies such as Power BI, Alteryx, KNIME, and Snowflake to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions and advance phDataβs delivery excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Client Delivery
- Own and drive the design and delivery of analytics, reporting, and data visualization solutions for enterprise clients using tools such as Power BI.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and interactive prototypes that align with phData methodologies, standards, and best practices.
- Deliver project-based consulting engagements, including backlog support and development, ensuring work is delivered on time, within scope, and with measurable business value.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and tune performance or deployment issues across reports, data models, and underlying platforms as needed.
- Recommend best practices to optimize data models, reports, and overall platform architecture, particularly in modern cloud data environments (e.g., Snowflake).
Collaboration & Leadership
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners including data engineering, analytics, and client business stakeholders to deliver successful client engagements.
- Manage client expectations by leading regular status meetings, providing clear updates, and proactively soliciting feedback through working sessions and demos.
- Provide technical leadership in the use of Power BI and data preparation tools (e.g., Alteryx, KNIME), guiding clients on how to scale and govern their analytics solutions.
- Ensure high quality in deliverables through documentation, validation, and adherence to governance, security, and change management standards.
- Partner with practice and account leaders to identify opportunities to expand analytics use cases, improve delivery patterns, and standardize reusable approaches.
Practice & Firm Contribution
- Contribute to internal initiatives such as developing accelerators, templates, and best-practice playbooks for Power BI, data preparation, and modern BI.
- Share knowledge with peers through mentoring, informal coaching, and collaborative problem solving.
- Represent phData with professionalism in all interactions, communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

You are comfortable working across visualization, data preparation, and SQL-based data platforms, and you communicate effectively with both technical and business users. Required Qualifications
Experience
- 3+ years of experience in data analytics and data visualization platforms in an enterprise environment.
Technical / Functional Skills
- Strong data visualization skills using Power BI, including building interactive reports and dashboards.
- Data preparation experience using Alteryx or KNIME (or similar tools such as Matillion, Dataiku, or Coalesce).
- Knowledge of SQL and experience working with data warehouses, data marts, and/or data models (Snowflake preferred).
- Ability to identify and recommend functionality and solutions to meet and enhance user requirements.
- Experience recommending and applying best practices for optimizing data models, reports, and overall analytics platform architecture.
Consulting / Delivery Skills
- Experience delivering projects for external or internal clients in a professional services, consulting, or similar client-facing environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in data fluency and communicating analytical insights and recommendations to business users.
- Ability to break down complex problems into structured, actionable steps and drive them through to completion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including facilitating status meetings and working sessions with clients.
- Solid project management skills with the ability to manage expectations, timelines, and priorities.
Collaboration & Ownership
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with distributed and cross-functional teams in a remote-first environment.
- Exceptional customer-facing skills, with a proven track record of building trust and long-term relationships.
- Proven track record of taking ownership, managing multiple priorities, and delivering high-quality work with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a passion for learning and mastering new technologies, techniques, and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred qualifications help candidates stand out but are not required for success in this role.
- 2+ years of consulting experience delivering analytics or BI solutions to enterprise clients.
- Expertise with Power Platform components such as Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power Virtual Agents.
- Experience with Power BI Service administration, including security roles, infrastructure setup, and governance.
- Previous experience scaling Power BI at an enterprise level, including standards, governance, and enablement.
- Previous experience leading teams of consultants or developers to ensure performance, utilization, and successful project delivery.
- Experience in specific industry verticals or problem spaces relevant to data and analytics.
- Prior experience working in global or remote teams and partnering across US, LATAM, and/or India.
- Contributions to open source, technical communities, speaking, writing, or internal accelerators are a plus.
Location & Time Zone Expectations
This role is based in LATAM.
- We are a remote-first company, and you should be comfortable working with a distributed global team.
- Some flexibility may be required to collaborate across time zones with colleagues and clients.
- Client needs may occasionally require flexibility in working hours to support key milestones or workshops.
