Role Overview

This is a hybrid role at the intersection of project delivery, sales, and business operations. You will work closely with technical and commercial teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully while actively contributing to revenue growth and customer engagement.

You will play a key role in driving sales performance, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring seamless execution of projects, translating technical capabilities into clear business value for clients.

What You'll Be Doing
1. Drive Revenue & Business Growth

• Generate and manage qualified leads to build a robust sales pipeline, with a focus on technical and engineering-driven markets
• Track lead engagement and conversion performance on a monthly basis, applying structured analytical thinking to identify patterns and optimise outcomes
• Support the achievement of sales targets by providing data-driven insights and technical credibility in client conversations
• Prepare and maintain sales forecasts, identifying risks, opportunities, and actionable recommendations using systematic frameworks
• Develop and implement strategies to improve lead generation and conversion, leveraging your understanding of engineering buyer behaviour

2. Market & Product Positioning

• Develop deep technical fluency in the company's products, systems architecture, and value proposition
• Translate complex engineering solutions into compelling, commercially relevant narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Conduct market and competitor analysis with an engineering lens, identifying capability gaps, integration opportunities, and emerging trends
• Support positioning strategies that highlight technical differentiation and systems-level advantages

3. Project Execution & Coordination

• Apply systems thinking to coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and business functions for seamless project delivery
• Own project timelines, deliverables, and milestone tracking with rigour, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and technical requirements
• Support technical planning, integration testing, and deployment phases, drawing on your engineering background to bridge gaps between teams
• Ensure technical deliverables meet project requirements, client specifications, and quality standards

4. Stakeholder & Client Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with technically sophisticated customers, partners, and stakeholders
• Engage clients to understand their systems requirements, operational challenges, and technical constraints
• Translate complex client requirements into structured project scopes, specifications, and business actions
• Deliver clear updates, reports, and presentations that resonate with both engineering teams and executive audiences

5. Risk, Reporting & Operations

• Apply root cause analysis and risk assessment methodologies to identify bottlenecks, dependencies, and failure points across projects and pipelines
• Develop mitigation strategies that reflect an understanding of systems interdependencies and technical constraints
• Maintain structured documentation including system requirements, meeting minutes, project reports, and action trackers
• Provide management with clear visibility into both project performance and commercial outcomes

6. Leadership & Team Development

• Support hiring and onboarding of interns or part-time team members, with an eye for technical aptitude and structured thinking
• Mentor junior team members on both technical coordination and commercial awareness
• Foster a rigorous, accountable, and growth-oriented team culture

7. Marketing & Business Operations Support

• Support the execution of technical marketing initiatives that communicate engineering credibility and product capability
• Contribute to thought leadership content and outreach strategies targeting engineering and technology communities
• Take ownership of smaller projects end-to-end, demonstrating initiative and delivery capability

Who This Role is For

You'll thrive in this role if you:

• Have an engineering mindset but enjoy working at the intersection of technology, business, and client engagement
• Are energised by translating technical complexity into commercial impact
• Think in systems, dependencies, and structured problem-solving
• Are driven by targets, ownership, and seeing projects through to completion
• Can hold your own in technical conversations with engineers, while also influencing non-technical decision-makers
• Thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments where you are expected to figure things out
• Are proactive, organised, and comfortable managing multiple moving parts simultaneously

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
• 0 to 3 years of experience in business development, project coordination, systems integration, or technical roles
• Strong systems thinking and structured problem-solving skills
• Experience working across cross-functional or multidisciplinary teams
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and persuasion skills
• Ability to analyse data and generate actionable insights across both technical and commercial domains
• Familiarity with tools such as Excel, Notion, Jira, or similar project and productivity platforms

Good to Have (but not required):

• Hands-on experience in systems engineering, integration, or technical project delivery
• Exposure to robotics, autonomous systems, defence, or industrial automation environments
• Experience in sales, lead generation, or customer-facing technical roles
• Prior experience in startups or fast-moving engineering environments
