Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)

Job Summary

We are hiring a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist to provide telehealth therapy for clients throughout Montana. This role is centered on steady, one-on-one clinical work with individuals, couples, and families who need support with relationship strain, family conflict, communication issues, emotional stress, parenting concerns, and major life changes.

In this position, you will meet with clients through a secure online platform, complete clinical documentation, and guide clients through practical treatment goals. The work is structured, professional, and fully remote, giving you the space to focus on therapy while still being part of a supportive clinical environment.

Job Details

Location: Montana
Work Setting: Remote / Telehealth
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $115,000–$120,000 per year with full benefits
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Responsibilities

  • Provide remote therapy sessions for individuals, couples, and families using a secure telehealth platform
  • Complete intake assessments and gather relevant client history
  • Create treatment plans based on each client’s concerns, goals, and clinical needs
  • Help clients work through communication issues, relationship stress, family conflict, anxiety, grief, and life transitions
  • Track client progress and update treatment plans when needed
  • Maintain clear, accurate, and timely clinical documentation
  • Use sound clinical judgment when supporting clients through complex relational or emotional concerns
  • Follow Montana licensing standards, HIPAA requirements, and professional ethics for telehealth care

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field
  • Active Montana LMFT license in good standing
  • Experience providing therapy to individuals, couples, and/or families
  • Comfortable working with clients in a remote telehealth setting
  • Strong documentation, organization, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage a full-time caseload with professionalism and consistency
  • Reliable internet connection and a private workspace for virtual sessions
