Job description

  • Location: Remote / Virtual
  • Job Type: Full-Time
  • Salary Range: $2,300 - $3,000/month

At HireHawk, we connect top global talent with high-performing U.S. companies. Our focus is on finding exceptional professionals who bring both expertise and drive to every role. We’re passionate about helping candidates grow their careers while supporting our clients with reliable, remote-ready talent that makes an impact from day one.

We’re hiring an entrepreneurial E-commerce Director / Senior E-commerce Manager to build our digital commerce function from the ground up. You’ll the Shopify site end-to-end: merchandising, site experience, conversion rate optimization, and the operational infrastructure that makes growth repeatable. This role is hands-on and highly visible, you’ll work closely with the Founder, bringing both strategic direction and practical execution to a business that hasn’t had dedicated digital leadership before. Your first focus will be getting the website and measurement foundation right; paid media and CRM will scale after the fundamentals are in place.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the client's shopify storefront and be accountable for improving online revenue, conversion rate, and customer experience
  • Audit the current site and build a clear, prioritized roadmap of foundational fixes and high-impact quick wins
  • Implement and continuously improve CRO across PDPs, collection pages, navigation, cart, and checkout (testing, analysis, iteration)
  • Build a reliable analytics and reporting foundation so the team can make decisions from clean, consistent data
  • Elevate site merchandising: collections, product discovery, on-site storytelling, and how the brand shows up online
  • Own promotional execution on-site (launches, offers, merchandising moments) and ensure the experience is seamless for customers
  • Partner with designers, developers, photographers/content, and copywriters to improve performance and presentation across the site
  • Optimize catalog and inventory presentation on Shopify (product setup, variants, collections, searchability, and integrations)
  • Collaborate with (and help assess/select) external partners like media buyers and CRM/email support as the channel matures, guided by ROI

Requirements

Must-Have:

  • 5+ years owning e-commerce performance with clear responsibility for outcomes (revenue, conversion rate, customer journey)
  • Hands-on Shopify expertise (admin, catalog management, merchandising, apps/integrations, promotions, troubleshooting)
  • Proven experience improving conversion through CRO and funnel optimization (not just “best practices” — real execution)
  • Strong comfort with e-commerce analytics and KPI reporting, including validating tracking and measurement quality
  • Ability to walk into an under-optimized store, diagnose what’s wrong, and execute a practical plan without needing a large team
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with creative and technical partners (design, dev, content, copy, media/CRM)
  • Confident stakeholder communication: able to educate, influence, and guide a non-digital founder through priorities and trade-offs

Nice to Have:

  • Fashion/apparel, DTC, or consumer retail e-commerce experience
  • Experience in lean entrepreneurial businesses (roughly $5M–$50M revenue range or similar environments)
  • Familiarity with AI tools that speed up creative workflows, image enhancement, or digital merchandising

Benefits

  • Access to a $200K+ perk marketplace with discounts on 150+ global services.
  • Option to withdraw up to 50% of approved earnings before payday.
