  • High School diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher in business administration or healthcare-related field preferred.
  • 2-3 years of credentialing experience preferred; knowledge of NCQA and/or Joint Commission Accreditation standards.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, database administration, and scanning applications; strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State confidentiality regulations and Peer Review Guidelines; ability to work independently and effectively with staff, physicians, and external customers.

Requirements:

  • Process initial and reappointment assignments for hospitals and surgical centers and for assigned divisions; perform internal credentialing for USAP clinicians.
  • Maintain complete files of provider licensure and credentials; monitor licensure renewals and forward copies to facilities.
  • Maintain and update the credentialing database with demographic, licensure, CME/ACLS credits, and provider CVs/profiles.
  • Maintain correspondence files and credentialing archival files; adhere to company policies and perform other credentialing duties as assigned.

Maintains accurate records of providers’ credentials. Processes providers’ applications for privileges and reappointments and monitors licensure renewal activity for Physicians, CRNA’s, APRN’s, and PA’s.

 

At this time, US Anesthesia Partners does not hire candidates residing in California, Hawaii, or Alaska.

 

The base pay estimate for this role is $19.95 - $31.92 hourly. The final offer will depend on the skills, experience, and qualifications of the selected candidate. This range is for base pay only and does not include bonuses or other compensation. This position is eligible for a quarterly bonus. Bonuses are not guaranteed and are awarded based on company and individual performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation)

  • Processes initial and reappointment assignments for hospitals and surgical centers and for assigned divisions.
  • Performs internal credentialling for all applicable USAP clinicians, as assigned.
  • Maintains complete file of provider’s licensure and credentials. Monitors renewals of licensure and forwards copies of licensure to facilities as renewals are received.
  • Maintains and updates credentialing database, inclusive of demographic and licensure information.
  • Maintains and updates continuing medical education/ACLS credits and other training requirements.
  • Maintains and updates curriculum vitae/profiles for each provider.
  • Maintains correspondence files and credentialing archival files.
  • Performs other credentialing duties as requested.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

:

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES (KSAs):

  • High School graduate or equivalent. AS or B.S. degree in business administration or health care related field is a plus.
  • 2-3 years Credentialing experience preferred. Knowledge of organization’s policies, procedures and systems.
  • Skilled in computer applications including MS Word, MS Excel, database administration and scanning applications.Knowledge of NCQA and/or Joint Commission Accreditation standards.
  • Skilled in verbal and written communications.
  • Knowledgeable in Federal and State Regulation on Confidentiality; and Peer Review Guidelines.
  • Ability to work effectively with staff, physicians and external customers.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Communicate well with the public.
