Requirements:

  • Manage customer relationships to ensure Buckman's attractiveness and prevent attrition, including business reviews, service reports, customer entertainment, providing savings projects, responding to service calls, and data mining as requested.
  • Drive continuous improvement by presenting savings projects and solutions to reduce costs (target: 10% of sales annually) through chemical and/or digital solutions, process changes, and optimization.
  • Drive account growth by meeting annual sales targets through new applications and increased volumes, in collaboration with the sales manager to identify target applications.
  • Deliver reporting and service excellence by writing service reports, testing and monitoring applications, conducting business reviews, troubleshooting processes, responding to service calls, and maintaining equipment.

Position Summary

Primarily responsible for SAPPI Cloquet mill, with additional responsibility for Cornell Manufacturing. Prospecting territory would include UPM Grand Rapids, Liberty Becker MN, and PCA International Falls. This includes current business at SAPPI and Cornell with additional high percentage funnel projects for SAPPI in the pulp mill. Primary tasks include full closure of the currently pumping MCAi evaluation and closure of projects in the pulp mill.

 

Key Outcomes/Responsibilities

Customer Satisfaction: managing the relationship with the customer in a manner that makes Buckman attractive and prevents attrition.                                                                                                                                      

Actions: Business reviews, service reports (customer requested subjects and frequency), customer entertainment (lunch, dinner, teams building exercises), providing savings projects, responding to service calls as needed, data mining for issues as requested

 

Continuous improvement: Sales Executives should bringing savings projects to the customer to help improve the process (>10% of sales each year).                                                                                                           

Actions: proposing chemical and/or digital solutions to lower customers costs, identifying process changes and assisting customer with implementation, optimizing applications or process variables/controls

 

Account Growth: Sales Executive should reach annual sales targets by increasing volumes or obtaining new applications                                                                                                                                                            

Actions: commercial new applications, increasing volumes of existing applications to improve customer performance, working with sales manager to identify target applications

 

Reporting/service: Servicing the account in a manner that keeps the customer happy.                                                       

Actions: writing service reports, application testing and monitoring, business review with customer, process and application troubleshooting, responding to service calls, maintaining equipment

 

Basic Qualifications
