JPI is hiring a Communications Lead who possesses equally- developed skills and proven success in strategic communications, organizational change management, and stakeholder engagement consulting to work within one of our federal clients.

 Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and manage communications efforts on multiple projects, plan and implement new communications principles, and assist in delivering messaging to drive strategic priorities, change, and understanding. 
  • Leading and facilitating client meetings and exercises. 
  • Manage projects of high complexity and to direct the completion of projects within estimated timeframes and resource constraints. 
  • Provides big picture strategic thinking in support of overall strategic communications goals. 
  • Ensure all products are consistent with the organization's strategic intent and mission. 
  • Coordinate with multiple parties as tasks are completed and assist in the review of work products for completeness, quality, and adherence to customer requirements. 
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with executive level personnel. 
  • Additional activities include participating in project management and supporting program managers in executing day-to-day project management activities. 


Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing or directly related field (e.g., Business Administration, English, etc.) 
  • Ten (10) years of related experience managing the development, execution, and ?monitoring of internal and external communication programs and activities designed to convey critical messages necessary for the organization to achieve it strategic objectives. 
  • Leading development of mission and strategy for communications to ensure they are high quality, business-driven, and effective; implementing standards for, coordinating, and monitoring internal and external communications to assure conformance with overall communication strategies.
  • Experience leading and managing stakeholder/workforce engagement activities, stakeholder identification and management, event planning, and coordination.  
  • Supporting internal publications, website development, editorial calendars, social media and communications impact analysis.  
  • Experience positioning and organization with key audiences including leadership, employees, and the public, advising senior management on matters concerning internal and external communications. 
  • Proficient in the following Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook 
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing 
  • Ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of communications material and strategy documents. 
  • Must be a self-starter, detail oriented, punctual, and possess the ability to work effectively independently and in team settings to include close collaboration with program managers and client personnel. 
  • Possess knowledge of AP Writing Style. 
  • Proven ability to support multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously in a deadline driven process. 
  • Previous experience in writing and editing communications plans, reports, standard operating procedures, one-pagers, case studies, newsletters, and fact sheets. 
  • Ability to recognize new business development opportunities. 
  • Clearance: Clearable at Public Trust level 


Preferred Experience: 

  • Preferred experience managing communications for large government IT systems 
  • PMP or ITIL certifications, or desire to attain, preferred. 
  • Prosci or other change management certification, preferred 
  • Experience working with or within a contracting and procurement office, preferred

JPI is hiring for several positions and will consider your application across our current and future openings. Expected compensation for this role is between 80,000-110,000, including a generous benefits package with comprehensive healthcare coverage. Please note that final compensation is dependent on a variety of factors and is reviewed regularly for both internal and external equity considerations.
