What You'll Do
As an Automation Engineer, you’ll work with developers, engineers, and cybersecurity experts to design, build, and optimise solutions delivered on our mission-critical hyper-automation platform. You’ll be at the forefront of automation and AI-driven innovations, delivering capabilities that enhance and scale operational effectiveness.
Beyond that, you'll play a key role in shaping internal standards, influencing best practices, and actively identifying opportunities to streamline processes, integrate AI, improve tooling, and elevate both internal and customer experiences.
What We’re Looking For
- Automation Engineering Expertise –
Design, build, and optimise scalable automation workflows and frameworks to improve efficiency and consistency across cybersecurity operations.
- Cybersecurity Domain Knowledge –
Strong understanding of key security areas, including threat detection and response, vulnerability management, and incident response, with the ability to apply this knowledge to real-world scenarios.
- Security Tooling & Integration – Hands-on experience with enterprise security tools (EDR, XDR, SIEM), including integration and orchestration to enhance detection and response capabilities.
- Analytical & Solution-Oriented Thinking – Ability to assess complex technical and business challenges, identify root causes, and deliver effective, pragmatic solutions.
- Programming & Systems Integration –
Strong programming skills with experience developing API-driven integrations and automations across diverse systems.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication – Confident working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, contributing to decisions, and ensuring successful delivery of security initiatives.
Required Skills
- The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in automation engineering, ideally within a cybersecurity, platform engineering, or software development environment, with a strong focus on building scalable and efficient automation solutions.
- They should demonstrate strong hands-on expertise in designing and developing automation that supports security operations, improves response times, and drives operational maturity. Experience with an automation platform such as N8N would be a strong plus.
- A solid understanding of core cybersecurity domains is essential, including threat detection and response, vulnerability management, and incident response. Experience working with enterprise security tooling—such as EDR, XDR, and SIEM platforms—and integrating these tools into cohesive workflows is highly desirable.
- The candidate should possess programming fundamentals, with experience in languages such as Python, and a good understanding of API-driven integrations and system interoperability across complex environments.
- Candidates should be comfortable navigating ambiguity, analysing complex technical challenges, and delivering pragmatic solutions aligned to business and security objectives.
- Excellent communication skills are key, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams, contribute to decision-making, and support the successful delivery of initiatives.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern infrastructure or automation practices is advantageous. A background in cybersecurity-focused engineering or secure platform development would be a plus.
