  • Establish and continuously improve governance policies, standards, controls, and decision rights for master data domains.

  • Promote and advance organizational understanding of data governance, data quality, master data management, and information architecture.

  • Serve as the process and policy owner for master data governance across systems and regions.

  • Ensure operational MD activities are executed in full alignment with governance standards, policies, SLAs, and audit requirements.

  • Drive standardization of master data processes across regions, business units, and plants.

  • Balance governance rigor with operational efficiency, helping the team scale without increasing data risk.

  • Set objectives, performance expectations, and development plans for team leads and individual contributors.

  • Act as escalation point for complex master data decisions, conflicts, and cross‑functional issues.

Data Stewardship & Business Engagement

  • Partner with Business Data Owners and Data Stewards to clarify accountability and ownership for data standards and quality.

  • Educate and coach Data Stewards on governance responsibilities, issue resolution, and ongoing data quality management.

  • Build strong working relationships with senior business leaders, IT, Analytics, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations.

  • Translate governance requirements into practical, business‑friendly processes and outcomes.

Process Ownership & Continuous Improvement

  • Own end‑to‑end master data processes, including change, approval, controls, and lifecycle management.

  • Identify opportunities for automation, simplification, and process optimization.

  • Define and track performance measures for governance effectiveness and master data operations.

Technology & Enablement

  • Partner with IT on design and adoption of SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) and related master data tooling.

  • Support implementation and scaling of MDM, data quality, metadata, and workflow solutions.

  • Ensure governance design supports current and future analytics, planning, and digital platforms.

Program & Initiative Delivery

  • Lead or contribute to cross‑functional, data‑related initiatives and transformation programs.

  • Ensure governance and operational impacts are addressed in system implementations, reorganizations, and acquisitions.

Our expectations:
