Compensation: $17-$19 hourly, depending on experience.

Job Summary and Responsibilities: 

Under the direct supervision of the assigned mentor, each Intern will work side by side with our team of professionals to participate in the renovation cycle of a multifamily asset inclusive of budgeting, vendor and contract management, design implementation, unit interior upgrades and finish packages, ADA compliance, city permitting and inspections, and major building and life safety systems. Each Intern will work on site at the property/project location; this is not a remote internship opportunity.  

Essential Functions: 

  • Research potential vendors/subcontractors and gather bids

  • Assist with coding invoices for payment 
  • Assist with gathering necessary qualifying documents for vendor agreements and contracts 
  • Participate in punch walks, city inspections, and final vendor walks 
  • Coordinate with the on site property management team during the unit turn process 
  • Compile project documentation and upload into respective internal ShareDrive folders 

Requirements: 

Computer Skills:

  • Intermediate computer and internet knowledge 
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook 

Learning and Development: 

  • Maintain a commitment to ongoing professional development and career growth through the Fowler Internship Program 

Education: 

  • Must be currently enrolled in a four-year university, community college, or trade school 
  • Ability to fluently read and write English, accurately perform intermediate mathematical functions, and use all on-site resident management software functions? 

*Please note: Available cities/locations are dependent on acquisitions. Further details about property pairing will come closer to date of commencement. For certain circumstances, we can provide housing on site for the duration of the internship program, if you are relocating for the Summer opportunity.*
