Job description

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Join a world-class technology consultancy where software is built by people, for people, creating high-performance systems that impact users worldwide. We're seeking a Data Governance Tech Lead to join an agile, collaborative team where your voice matters as much as your expertise. You'll work closely with leadership (CEO/COO) and clients, owning data classification schemas, managing AI tool governance, and ensuring compliance across the organization. We value empathy, self-organization, and the courage to take risks in an environment where teaching others is the best way to learn.

The role involves supporting AI tool request triage, maintaining the AI registry, coordinating vendor data handling assessments, and ensuring robust PII and sensitive data guardrails are documented before go-live. You'll monitor active tools for data boundary drift, detect shadow AI, run quarterly duplicate solution reviews, and flag anomalies in access patterns to Security and Data Governance teams. Partnering closely with Data Engineering ensures governed data pipelines and access controls, while coordinating with Legal incorporates regulatory changes and with HR builds data literacy within AI training programs. You'll prepare Governance Board materials, maintain internal policies and process guides, and track regulatory developments including GDPR, EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, and ISO 42001.

  • Cross-functional alignment: Confident working across all organizational levels from Data Engineering to Governance Board
  • Structured review processes: Experience managing processes involving multiple stakeholders
  • Communication excellence: Ability to translate complex data policy, classification principles, and regulatory concepts into plain language for non-technical audiences
  • Analytical mindset: Comfortable working with registry data, usage metrics, and risk criteria to draw actionable conclusions
  • Collaborative spirit: Clear communication and ability to work seamlessly with diverse teams
  • Language requirement: Fluent English (mandatory for leadership and client communication)
