WHO WE ARE
New Classrooms is a national non-profit organization focused on reimagining math education for all students. We are a fully remote team of educators, technologists, and advocates committed to the idea that all students deserve an educational pathway that meets them where they are and gets them to where they need to be. We partner with schools, districts, and states to support the implementation of our personalized, competency-based math solution, Teach to One Roadmaps, while also advocating for shifts across the K-12 landscape to create the conditions for more student-centered learning.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Finance & Accounting Team is responsible for ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the organization, supporting planning and forecasting, delivering timely and accurate insights, and partnering across teams to enable strong decision-making. We work closely with leaders across the organization to ensure resources are aligned to advance our mission and maximize impact.
We are seeking a Strategic Finance professional who brings curiosity, analytical rigor, and a strong ability to translate data into action. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, finance, and operations, partnering closely with senior leadership to analyze and understand our financial position, shape priorities, evaluate tradeoffs, and drive key organizational decisions. A core focus of this role is developing and refining models that inform pricing, demand, and revenue strategy. Drawing on experience with commercial or consumer-oriented approaches, you will help the organization better understand the drivers of growth, sustainability, and program impact. You will build insights grounded in both financial analysis and a deep understanding of the underlying economics of our programs.
Working closely with the CFAO, CEO, and President, you will lead forecasting and planning efforts, evaluate strategic opportunities, and assess new initiatives and operating models. You will partner cross-functionally with program, development, and sales teams to align on priorities and develop financial models and budgets to support them. You will work closely with your Finance colleagues to manage financial operations and evaluate financial outcomes.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience in SaaS, marketplace, or other consumer-oriented environments who is excited to apply that lens in a mission-driven, education-focused organization. The role requires both strong analytical capabilities and an operator mindset, with a focus on turning insights into impact.
