As a Joinery Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and quotations for custom cabinetry and joinery projects. This role requires a strong understanding of joinery construction, materials, and pricing, along with the ability to interpret drawings and specifications to support project delivery.
What You'll Do
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates and quotations for joinery and cabinetry projects
Review architectural drawings, specifications, and tender documents to determine project scope
Perform material take-offs, labor costing, and pricing of hardware and finishes
Utilize estimating software and/or Cabinet Vision to support costing and project visualization
Liaise with designers, project managers, and production teams to clarify project requirements
Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and design intent
Maintain and update pricing databases for materials, suppliers, and labor rates
Ensure all estimates align with project budgets, timelines, and client expectations
Assist in tender submissions and provide supporting documentation as required
Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing

We’re looking for someone who:
Proven experience as a Joinery Estimator, Cabinetry Estimator, or similar role
Strong understanding of cabinetmaking, joinery, and construction methods
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and design intent
Experience in material take-offs, cost estimation, and tender preparations
Strong knowledge of materials, hardware, finishes, and supplier pricing
Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail with strong accuracy in costing
Strong communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and suppliers
Ability to work independently and manage multiple estimates and deadlines
