Roles & Responsibilities

  • BA/BS in a business-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Moderate experience in data analysis within the pharmaceutical or CRO industry or a related field
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite (including PowerPoint)
  • Strong data organization, statistical interpretation of data, synthesis of findings, and reporting; excellent oral and written communication, attention to detail, analytical ability, and critical thinking

Requirements:

  • Serves as the business analyst for centralized and consolidated measurement, planning, and reporting for the Business Development team, providing coordination and support to Sales Corporate management through summarization, reporting analysis, and interpretation of sales data
  • Completes routine internal reporting on key sales metrics and prepares month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting and metrics across region, business unit, and representative level
  • Acquires data from primary or secondary data sources, maintains databases/data systems, identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends in complex data sets, and ensures data quality and structure in sales systems
  • Produces high-quality reporting and ad hoc analyses for management, drives action across the company through timely deliverables, and assists in preparation of management-level presentations; supports projects and initiatives (Salesforce.com experience is a plus)

Job Responsibilities

Job Summary

Serves as the business analyst for centralized and consolidated measurement, planning, and reporting for the Business Development team. Provides coordination and support to Sales & Corporate management through summarization, reporting analysis, and interpretation of sales data. Ensures all reporting activities are accurate and met timely.

Core Responsibilities

• Completes routine internal reporting on key sales metrics.

• Prepares and provides supporting analysis month-end, quarter-end & year-end reporting and metrics (including but not limited to the region, business unit, and representative level) on a scheduled basis.

• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.

• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.

• Conducts data analyses to address strategic questions.

• Provides oversight of data, quality, and structure in sales systems.

• Produces high quality reporting and analysis to management as directed.

• Produces ad hoc reports independently.

• Provides analysis of the sales force data and drives action across the Company through timely, impactful deliverables.

• Assists in preparation analysis associated with management level presentation and reporting while maintaining schedules for key sales metrics.

• Assists line manager and Business Development management team to support projects and initiatives.

• Salesforce.com experience is a plus

• Supports initiatives for improving associated sales processes, reporting, and data quality

• Other Responsibilities:

• Performs other work-related duties as assigned. Minimal travel may be required (up to

25%).

Additional Qualifications

• BA/BS in business related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Moderate experience in a data analysis function within the pharmaceutical or CRO industry or comparable experience in a related field of study. Experience working with sales data and /or business intelligence information preferred. Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Office suite, and PowerPoint. Possesses a strong understanding of data organization, statistical interpretation of data, synthesis of findings, and appropriate reporting. Excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, analytical ability, and demonstrated critical thinking skills are essential. Knowledge of the CRO industry strongly desired. Ability to organize, prioritize, meet deadlines, follow-up, and coordinated multiple assignments
