Job Description:

The T2 QA Automation Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of NextGen Healthcare’s NGMS Mobile platform. This role focuses on building scalable automation frameworks, validating Mobile, Web and API-based workflows, and supporting continuous delivery pipelines in a healthcare environment.

The T2 QA Automation Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of NextGen Healthcare’s NGMS Mobile platform. This role focuses on building scalable automation frameworks, validating Mobile, Web and API-based workflows, and supporting continuous delivery pipelines in a healthcare environment. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for mobile (iOS/Android) and web applications 

  • Develop automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Appium, and RestAssured 

  • Perform API testing, integration testing, regression testing, and smoke testing 

  • Validate end-to-end healthcare workflows, including integrations using HL7 and FHIR standards 

  • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Git) 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and QA members in Agile environments 

  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and support root cause analysis 

  • Continuously improve test coverage and reduce manual testing efforts 

 

Required Skills 

  • 3–6 years of experience in QA Automation 

  • Strong programming skills in Python or JavaScript 

  • Hands-on experience with Selenium, Appium, TestNG/JUnit 

  • Experience in API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools 

  • Solid understanding of mobile application testing (Android/iOS) 

  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and version control systems like Git 

  • Basic SQL knowledge for data validation 

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies 

Education Required :

  • Bachelor's degree in Information science, computer science, engineering, or a computer science-related field.

  • Any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications for the position.

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience in healthcare domain (HL7, FHIR, C-CDA standards) 

  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure 

  • Experience with performance testing tools 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

 

AI Assisted QA Skills (Preferred) 

  • Experience with AI-assisted test generation tools (e.g., ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, TestGPT) 

  • Familiarity with self-healing automation platforms (e.g., Testim, Functionize, Mabl) 

  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based mobile testing platforms (e.g., Perfecto, BrowserStack, Sauce Labs) 

  • Knowledge of AI-driven visual testing tools (e.g., Applitools) 

  • Ability to leverage AI for test case generation, flaky test detection, and intelligent test optimisation 

  • Understanding of prompt engineering for QA workflows and automation acceleration 

  • Exposure to modern automation tools like Playwright/Cypress with AI integrations 

  • Awareness of AI-driven test analytics and reporting tools for quality insights
