Lead Engineer for leading engineering of software quality for an enterprise level product development in a highly regulated environment. Highly focussed on performance testing and automated functional testing.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead software quality engineering activities within a fast-paced Agile development environment

  • Review product requirements and engineering specifications to define test strategies and scope test efforts

  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated tests for web, API, desktop, and mobile applications

  • Ensure test results are documented, reported, and clearly communicated to stakeholders, highlighting risks and quality issues

  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to test engineers and less experienced team members

  • Collaborate closely with software engineers, quality engineering colleagues, and product teams to resolve issues identified during testing

  • Develop and maintain repeatable, high-quality test plans based on functional requirements, use cases, and system designs

  • Troubleshoot test failures across multiple environments, including analysis of logs and database queries

  • Conduct peer reviews of test cases and continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements

What we look for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

  • 7 years of experience in software quality engineering, including experience leading or mentoring teams

  • Strong experience working in Agile environments (such as Scrum or SAFe) and familiarity with DevOps practices and cloud-based solutions

  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and software testing techniques (functional, integration, system, regression)

  • Hands-on experience with test automation, scripting languages (such as JavaScript, Python, or Ruby), and SQL

  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools; Polarion experience is a plus

  • Experience with test automation tools and best practices; Katalon experience is a plus

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams

  • Knowledge of FDA regulations, 21 CFR Part 11, and cGxP is an advantage
