  • Collaborate with branch management to deliver Five-Diamond Service; optimize service delivery, automation, reporting, and procedures; build relationships with industry partners to drive sales growth and stay informed on industry changes.

Manages the travel function across branch locations to increase sales revenue. Works closely with branch management to facilitate Five Diamond Service delivery. Manages the selling performance of Travel Agents and establishes appropriate staffing levels for branch locations. Resolves member issues. Works with Branch Managers to oversee day-to-day performance of agents.

What you will do:

  • Manages the activities of the Travel Agency sales staff across an assigned region to achieve desired sales productivity and growth. Analyzes sales and service results to capitalize on trends and identify individual growth opportunities. With the approval of senior management, develops programs to achieve sales and revenue goals. Sets sales goals and holds team accountable for reaching goals; assists agents, develop new ways to drive sales, escalating issues that may be blocking sales. Communicates and implements marketing campaigns and monitors results. Ensures that Club policies and procedures are followed.
  • Manages the employment process for branch travel agency staff, including hiring, training, and motivating a driven, positive, and successful team and performance management. Establishes performance standards and goals, focusing on limiting errors by ensuring compliance with standardized procedures. Ensures that staff is thoroughly knowledgeable about trends or changes in the Travel industry. Identifies training needs and works with the Travel training function to develop and assess training modules. Works to ensure adequate staffing levels in the branches.
  • Strengthens employee and member relationships by resolving issues fairly within service parameters established by Travel Agency management. Analyzes situations and assess the necessary courses of action. Acts as member advocate for issues that escalate beyond the Counselor level, minimizing financial impact to Agency and Agent. Identifies repeat occurrences and alerts senior management.
  • Teams with branch management to facilitate service delivery for the travel function, ensuring maintenance of Five-Diamond Service during all transactions.
  • Works to identify strengths and weaknesses in automation, reporting, policies, and procedures. Teams with senior management to develop more time and cost-effective procedures for reservation booking, report generation, and workflow management. Keeps staff abreast of revisions in policies and procedures.
  • Builds relationships with industry representatives, vendors, local community leaders, and travel professionals to provide a competitive advantage to AAA Travel and facilitate sales growth.
  • Keeps abreast of industry changes that may impact business. Analyzes industry trends and makes recommendations to senior management regarding marketing, products, etc. Keeps staff informed of industry changes, agency and Club changes, and vendor requirements.
