Process Coordinator/Healthcare

Are you a fast and very accurate MEDICAL TRANSCRIPTIONIST who excels at the challenge of meeting daily required quotas?  If so, the MEDICAL TRANSCRIPTIONIST role at the Bethesda Dermatopathology Lab (BDL) may be the right fit for you.

We are a large and very busy lab located in Silver Spring, MD, and seek a full-time, experienced, and highly proficient person to join our team.  At BDL you will work in a challenging and stimulating environment with great growth potential.  Your main function will be transcribing medical reports; however, your expertise will transition you into other roles, including data entry, problem-solving, assisting clients on the phone, and an array of other administrative duties.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Excellent and accurate computer and typing skills (60+ wpm) are CRUCIAL, knowledge of          
    medical terminology is a plus!
  • Experience in medical specialties such as dermatopathology or pathology is a plus!
  • High productivity is CRITICAL to meet daily deadlines.
  • Must be a detail-oriented, reliable service-oriented team player with a strong work ethic,
    ability to multi-task, work independently, be self-motivated, and have effective and
    professional communication skills.
  • Demonstrate initiative and use time productively
  • Understanding of legal and ethical issues concerning patient confidentiality.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 10:00am to 6:00pm.
