Roles & Responsibilities

  • Associate's degree with 3 years of experience in training program execution, instructional design, e-learning development, LMS administration, and related learning activities.
  • Or Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience in the same domains.
  • Valid driver's license and residence in North Carolina within Trillium's catchment area.
  • Experience with LMS (SCORM, xAPI), e-learning tools (Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate), data visualization/reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau), and virtual training platforms.

Requirements:

  • Implement and manage execution of training programs developed in collaboration with the Training Development Director, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
  • Develop and manage data collection processes to track training effectiveness, learner engagement, and performance outcomes.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and milestones for training initiatives, tracking progress and addressing obstacles.
  • Manage a team of training specialists and instructional designers, including performance evaluations, mentoring, and ensuring adherence to training timelines and goals.

Working Title: Training Development Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

Posting Salary Range: $64,927 - $84,839

Office Location: Remote in North Carolina and within Trillium’s catchment area. (See requirements section for included counties)

What We’re Looking For


Trillium Health Resources has a career opening for a Training Development Manager to join our team! The Training Development Manager ensures the effective implementation and operational management of these programs, focusing on training logistics, instructional design execution, learning technology administration, and staff supervision. This role manages unit duties, resource allocation, and training personnel to ensure high-quality delivery, standardization of instructional practices, and integration of learning quality standards and innovative approaches. The Training Development Manager works with Trillium leadership to implement scalable learning solutions that drive continuous improvement and professional development.


On a typical day, you might:


  • Implement and manage the execution of training programs developed in collaboration with the Training Development Director, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
  • Develop and manage data collection processes to track training effectiveness, learner engagement, and performance outcomes.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and milestones for training initiatives, tracking progress and addressing any obstacles.
  • Ensure training content meets regulatory standards and contract requirements, compiling reports for leadership review.
  • Manage a team of training specialists and instructional designers, conducting performance evaluations, mentoring staff, and ensuring adherence to established training timelines and goals.

Qualifications


Required:

  • Associate’s degree and three (3) years of experience in training program execution, instructional design, e-learning development, learning management system (LMS) administration, project management experience, analyzing training performance metrics, compliance tracking, content development, instructional design, curriculum or curricula development, instructional development, education, or special education, learning principles, change management, learning strategies, organizational development, succession planning, digital learning, performance coaching, talent development; OR
  • Bachelor’s degree and one (1) year of experience in training program execution, instructional design, e-learning development, learning management system (LMS) administration, project management experience, analyzing training performance metrics, compliance tracking, content development, instructional design, curriculum or curricula development, instructional development, education, or special education, learning principles, change management, learning strategies, organizational development, succession planning, digital learning, performance coaching, talent development; OR
  • Equivalent combination of higher education/experience. 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must reside in North Carolina and within Trillium’s catchment area, which includes the following counties: Anson, Bertie, Beaufort, Bladen, Brunswick, Camden, Chowan, Carteret, Columbus, Craven, Currituck, Dare, Duplin, Edgecombe, Gates, Greene, Guilford, Halifax, Hertford, Hoke, Hyde, Jones, Lee, Lenoir, Martin, Montgomery, Moore, Nash, New Hanover, Northampton, Onslow, Pamlico, Pasquotank, Pender, Perquimans, Pitt, Randolph, Richmond, Robeson, Sampson, Scotland, Tyrrell, Warren, Washington, Wayne, and Wilson. 
  • Must be able to travel within catchment as required.


Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Human Resources, Training, Psychology, Learning and Development.
  • Experience in:
    • Technology platforms (LMS, SCORM, xAPI, etc.).
    • Data visualization and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
    • e-learning tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, or similar authoring software.
    • Virtual training platforms (Zoom, Webex, Microsoft Teams, etc.)
    • Leadership and team management abilities.
    • Problem-solving and risk management skills.
    • Communication, stakeholder collaboration, and change management capabilities.
    • Attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Supervision of two (2) or more employees.
  • Clinical licensure in North Carolina as LMFT, LCSW, LCMHC, or LPA or certification as PHR, SHRM-CP, or CPTD, CPTM preferred.
