About the Role:
The Revenue Cycle Consultant serves as a customer experience and operational revenue cycle subject matter expert, supporting Sales, Customer Success, and Operations teams across all aspects of CBO and insurance workflows. This role ensures accurate scoping, effective implementation support, and strong customer-facing materials by applying deep healthcare revenue cycle knowledge from prospect through go-live. The Revenue Cycle Consultant partners with cross‑functional stakeholders to support sales initiatives, implementation readiness, and an optimized customer experience.
Title: Revenue Cycle Consultant
Location: Remote – United States
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday
Department: Customer Success/Client Engagement
Reports To: Vice President of Customer Success
Compensation: $120,000 -$140,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Support customer experience and operational initiatives across sales, implementation, and customer success activities
- Contribute to RFP responses, sales materials, customer-facing reports, and presentation decks
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of billing, DNFB, insurance collections, and payer regulations to support sales, implementation, and ongoing client engagement
- Review and validate end-to-end revenue cycle workflows to ensure scope alignment with pricing, contracts, and implementation plans
- Provide guidance on operational requirements, workflows, and best practices to internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Experience, Operations, and Technology teams to support efficient and successful implementations
- Oversee and support the customer experience from prospect through go-live, ensuring appropriate processes, communication, and documentation
- Analyze complex operational challenges and develop practical solutions in environments with limited standardization
- Assist with additional projects and initiatives as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience working in a healthcare revenue cycle management environment
- Demonstrated expertise in healthcare billing, insurance, and collections workflows
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze variables and apply practical solutions
- Proven experience collaborating across teams to align people, processes, and deliverables
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications:
- More than 10 years of experience supporting complex healthcare revenue cycle workflows
- Experience supporting client success, operations, or consulting functions within healthcare organizations
- Experience developing RFP content, sales materials, and customer-facing reports or presentations
- Experience supporting or implementing CBO or insurance-focused revenue cycle solutions
- Experience working with Meditech, Oracle, Epic, or similar healthcare systems
- Outstanding relationship-building, persuasion, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Highly detail-oriented with a focus on quality, accuracy, and customer experience
- Ability to adapt in fast-paced, evolving environments
