About this role:
The Senior Proposal Manager owns some of our most complex, highest-stakes pursuits and pushes drafts past compliant into genuinely competitive. They mentor proposal staff, maintain a high quality bar, and keep pipeline data reliable even when deadlines pile up. They also make sure how we position Consertus at the enterprise level shows up consistently in what deliver to our clients and future clients. As we expand into new markets and service lines, this role keeps pursuit work aligned with where the company is going.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end execution of large or strategically significant pursuits, often times more than one concurrently.
Shape persuasive messaging that reflects competitive positioning and sector expertise.
Establish schedules and oversee deliverables for complex submissions.
Conduct senior-level quality and compliance reviews prior to release.
Maintain Salesforce opportunity data for assigned pursuits to support accurate forecasts and pipeline reporting.
Lead interview preparation, including development of materials and executive presentation content.
Support the development of market brochures and strategic client materials that extend beyond a single pursuit.
Manage, mentor, and lead Proposal Managers and Coordinators to support their professional development and advance their skills in their role.
Contribute to building out proposal processes, tools, and standards as the function matures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree or professional certification preferred.
8+ years of proposal management experience within AEC or complex professional services organizations.
Proven track record managing large, multi-disciplinary, or high-revenue pursuits, with experience running multiple concurrent submissions on overlapping deadlines.
Infrastructure sector experience strongly preferred, including aviation, transit, roads and highways, energy, or utilities.
Strong understanding of CRM forecasting discipline and pipeline reporting; Salesforce experience preferred.
Advanced writing, editing, and strategic narrative development capabilities.
Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word and PowerPoint.
APMP certification preferred.
Working Hours/Location:
Full-time, Exempt. Standard business hours with occasional evenings and weekends during peak workloads. Hybrid or Remote role with approximately 10% travel. Candidates based in North America and within proximity to a Consertus office are preferred.
