The Role

We are hiring a Strategic Buyer who will be responsible for executing sourcing strategies for AutoStore’ s electronics commodity in the most efficient way. This role involves close collaboration with suppliers, ensuring the procurement of high-quality electronic parts in a timely and cost-effective manner, working with cross-functional teams to enhance supply chain efficiency and supporting the company's production and innovation objectives.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities: 

• Ensure suppliers meet quality, delivery, and compliance standards while analyzing monthly performance reports to drive improvements and achieve KPI targets.

• Conduct price benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities, communicate findings internally and externally, and ensure accurate price updates in ERP.

• Work closely with suppliers to reduce lead times for key components, manage inventory efficiently, and develop storage strategies for better stock accessibility.

• Address shortages and unexpected costs by coordinating with suppliers, tracking additional expenses, and managing test equipment retrieval and maintenance.

• Collaborate with R&D and quality teams to support production needs, handle PRQ requests, manage supplier quotations, and maintain an up-to-date master BOM for inventory optimization.

Key Qualifications:

• 3+ years of proven experience in strategic sourcing of Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS), including Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs).

• Be proficient in Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Be fluent in English, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional environment.

• Have solid analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to manage multiple projects, and stay updated on market trends and industry best practices.

Ideal location for this role is remote from Kaunas, Lithuania. Salary scheduled to be between 30,000 - 35,000 EUR.
