Linguistic Specialists are responsible for the ongoing delivery and coordinator of interpreter skills assessments for internal and external clients. Additionally, the Linguistic Specialist is responsible for developing interpreter assessment forms and reporting results of assessments to internal and external clients. 

• Perform assessments for internal and external clients, including assessing client interpreters, new hire interpreter candidates and current interpreter staff
• Conduct internal interpreter monitoring to ensure that each interpreter provides quality interpretation consistent with established competencies
• Assist in development of new assessment forms and methods across supported languages
• Maintain all testing information, including scheduling, results and following up using established tools; report results to clients
• Assist with other testing and training projects as required
• Propose and implement process improvement changes
• Interpret over the phone to maintain language and medical interpreter skills
• Perform other duties as requested

Qualifications:

• One year of Spanish interpretation experience required
• Experience in assessment of interpreters preferred
• Adult learning and evaluation experience preferred
• Complete proficiency in English and Spanish
• Proficient in professional written communication skills in English and Spanish
• Experience using MS Office and other related software and systems (e.g., Internet and Intranet applications)
