The project involves managing a multi-product ecosystem (including proprietary tools like Bid Optimizer and Helios), where you will ensure a cohesive, high-quality user experience across all platforms. You’ll be tasked with scaling a robust design system and leading a distributed pool of UI engineers to deliver clean, accessible, and high-performing interfaces that drive the future of sustainable energy.

  • Technical Leadership: Lead and coordinate a pool of UI engineers across multiple project streams, ensuring high-quality implementations and technical consistency.
  • Design System Governance: Drive the adoption of the design system and promote component reuse to ensure scalability across the entire application portfolio.
  • Quality & Review: Review and approve UI implementations, supporting prototyping, UX flows, and interaction design decisions to meet elite usability standards.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Engineering, and PM teams to define priorities and translate complex UX visions into implementable UI solutions.
  • Mentorship: Guide and mentor UI developers and junior designers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.

💡 Must-Have Skills

  • 6–10+ years of experience in UX/UI or Senior Frontend Engineering roles.
  • Advanced Frontend Expertise: Proficiency in React, HTML5, and CSS/SCSS.
  • Design Systems: Proven experience in the creation, governance, and technical implementation of enterprise-level design systems.
  • UX Foundations: Deep understanding of user flows, usability principles, and web accessibility (WCAG).
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders in complex environments.
  • Experience in Agile teams and remote-first environments.
  • Fluent English for daily technical communication and documentation.

🌟 Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience working with enterprise platforms or complex multi-product ecosystems.
  • Exposure to energy, analytics, or data visualization platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with design tools such as Figma or Sketch.
  • Familiarity with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environments.
  • Prior experience in nearshore or globally distributed teams.

🌐 Time Zone & Collaboration

The role requires collaboration with teams aligned to Central Time (CT). Candidates must be based in LATAM and able to provide full coverage during standard US Central business hours to ensure real-time synchronization with the client's core team.
