Job description

Interior Designer

Charlotte Corporate Office - On Site

Behind Every Exceptional Community Is a Team That Runs It Flawlessly

At Northwood Ravin, we’re known for creating some of the most distinctive luxury apartment communities in the Southeast. That level of detail and intention extends into every space we design, from first impression to everyday experience.

We’re looking for an Interior Designer who takes pride in elevating the resident experience through thoughtful, well-executed design and consistent delivery across multiple luxury projects.

The Opportunity

In this position, you will support the design and execution of interior spaces across our luxury multifamily portfolio, with direct involvement from early concept through construction and final delivery. You will play a key role in ensuring design intent is carried through every phase of the project.

Key areas of focus include:

  • Developing design concepts, including finish plans, elevations, and reflected ceiling plans
  • Selecting and tracking finishes, fixtures, and materials across amenity and common areas
  • Collaborating closely with architecture, development, and construction teams to ensure design alignment
  • Supporting construction administration, including submittals, RFIs, and field coordination
  • Conducting site visits and maintaining design quality throughout project execution

This is a role for someone who is creative, detail-driven, and able to translate design vision into execution, someone who can manage multiple projects while maintaining a high standard of quality and consistency.

What You Bring to the Team

You have a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design (required) and 5–8 years of professional experience, ideally within multifamily or commercial interiors (luxury multifamily or hospitality strongly preferred). You bring strong experience in design development, construction documentation, and coordination through project completion.

A portfolio is required and should demonstrate your ability to develop and execute cohesive design concepts, ideally within luxury or high-end environments.

You are proficient in tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office, and are comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously. You communicate clearly, stay organized, and take ownership of your work from concept through construction.

Why Northwood Ravin

We believe exceptional communities are built by exceptional people and we are intentional about supporting both.

Our team is supported through competitive compensation, personal development, housing opportunities within our communities, and an elevated benefits experience designed to promote well-being, financial stability, and life beyond work.
