Work Schedule: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM AEST NSW | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM PHT

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MEP Design Engineer to support an Australia-based engineering team. This is an offshore role based in the Philippines, focused primarily on design, drafting, and technical support for small to mid-sized commercial and light industrial projects.

The role will involve working on warehouse and commercial building designs, supporting the onshore team with high-quality drawings, technical inputs, and coordination.

What You’ll Do
You’ll be the kind of person who:

  • Prepare and develop MEP designs and layouts for commercial and warehouse projects
  • Produce 2D drawings and basic 3D models using AutoCAD and Revit
  • Assist in the design of:
  • Supplementary units (HVAC systems)
  • Air conditioning systems
  • Basic hydraulic/plumbing systems
  • Chilled water systems and tanks
  • Apply fundamental knowledge of:
  • Thermodynamics
  • Fluid dynamics
  • Technical Support & Coordination
  • Support the onshore team with design updates and revisions
  • Review and update drawings based on feedback from the local (AU) team
  • Assist in preparing technical documentation and design inputs
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with project requirements
  • Documentation
  • Maintain accurate and organized drawing files and documentation
  • Assist in preparing basic reports and design documentation where required
  • Ensure all drawings meet project standards and specifications
  • Scope Clarification (Offshore Role)
  • This role is design and drafting focused
  • Reporting, site inspections, and compliance checks are handled by the local Australia-based team
  • The offshore engineer will support design and documentation, not site execution


Requirements

What you bring
We’re looking for someone who:

  • 2–5 years of experience in MEP design and drafting
  • Strong proficiency in:
  • AutoCAD (essential)
  • Revit (preferred)
  • Basic 2D design tools
  • Experience working on:
  • Commercial projects
  • Warehouse or light industrial projects (advantageous)
  • Basic understanding of:
  • HVAC systems
  • Hydraulics/plumbing
  • Chilled water systems
  • Thermodynamics and fluid dynamics
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Good communication skills in English
