Position Overview:

The Financial Reporting Manager at ZeeBooks oversees the timely review and completion of monthly financial packets, provides expertise on complex accounting matters, leads meetings, and resolves transaction anomalies. They collaborate with the Brand President to develop processes for software integrations and oversee new employee training. Additionally, they evaluate and recommend policy changes, produce internal job aids, and improve year-end processes. Key measurables include leadership effectiveness, policy manual adherence, accurate financial statement preparation, and maintenance of customer-facing accounting resources.

  

Key Accountabilities:

  • Review Monthly Financial Packets: Ensure accurate and timely completion of monthly financial reports (target 90% accuracy) by the 20th, including validating data, ensuring compliance, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Provide Expertise in Accounting Topics:  Serve as a subject matter expert in accrual accounting for home service businesses, supporting bookkeepers and franchisees through client calls and guidance on financial processes and reporting.
  • Lead Weekly L10 Meetings:  Facilitate weekly L10 meetings to review, analyze, and resolve anomalous transactions, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial records.
  • Software Integrations & Technology: Leverage Microsoft 365, CRMs, and financial systems to support data flow into ZeeBooks, ensuring accurate reconciliation and effective implementation of technology solutions.
  • Oversee Employees’ and Training:  Manage and develop Staff Accountants by providing training, creating resources, and improving processes related to payroll, expense categorization, and financial reporting.
  • Other duties may be assigned 


Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required
  • Expertise in accounting principles and the ability to manage multiple financial tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain accuracy in financial documentation.
  • Capable of working autonomously or as part of a team with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate computer software skills, including Office 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of NetSuite accounting software, preferred.
