Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Opportunity

Redgrave LLP is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our AI Innovation team. This role owns the cloud infrastructure that powers the firm’s AI‑enabled workflows, from rapid experimentation to production systems that process millions of documents. You will design, build, secure, and operate infrastructure across multiple cloud and model providers while safeguarding sensitive and privileged client data.

This is a remote position with regular collaboration across time zones.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, provision, and maintain secure developer environments and cloud infrastructure for AI workloads
  • Build and operate CI/CD pipelines, source control workflows, and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Configure, manage, and optimize Databricks in Azure for large‑scale data processing and analytics
  • Define and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, Bicep) for reproducible and auditable environments
  • Implement centralized logging, monitoring, and alerting for proactive issue detection and rapid incident response
  • Stand up matter‑specific infrastructure (compute, storage, databases, AI services) with proper isolation and lifecycle management
  • Operate across Azure (primary), AWS, and Google Cloud, including identity, networking, cost allocation, and governance
  • Ensure protection of client data at rest and in transit, including attorney‑client privileged information and ethical wall requirements
  • Maintain incident‑response procedures and provide after‑hours support when required for time‑sensitive matters
  • Manage API access, usage limits, and costs across AI model providers (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic)
  • Scale AI systems from prototype to production, including high‑volume batch pipelines touching millions of documents
  • Create and maintain architecture diagrams, documentation, and operational runbooks

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong hands‑on experience operating production cloud infrastructure, preferably across Azure, AWS, and GCP
  • Experience with CI/CD, containers, and infrastructure‑as‑code tooling
  • Solid fundamentals in cloud security, identity and access management, and data protection
  • Experience supporting observability, on‑call response, and operational reliability
  • Clear communicator who can collaborate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • Self‑starter who thrives in a small, fast‑moving team
  • Interest in or experience with professional services or regulated environments

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience designing and running production cloud infrastructure
  • Proven experience supporting AI workloads end‑to‑end
  • Experience with high‑volume data processing systems (batch pipelines, document stores, large‑scale storage)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect)
  • Law firm, in‑house legal, or professional services experience
  • Hands‑on Databricks experience
  • Experience managing consumption, rate limits, and cost controls for AI/model APIs
