Roles & Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5 years of recent relevant project management experience with expertise in Epic EHR module implementations; PMP certification highly desired
  • Knowledge of PMBOK, project management methodologies, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, SharePoint, and Excel; strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Preferred: experience with Strategic Portfolio Management within the ServiceNow platform

Requirements:

  • Manage multiple medium-to-large IS projects, ensuring timely, within-budget delivery, high quality standards, and client satisfaction; help implement PMO processes
  • Create and maintain project plans, assign resources, monitor progress, perform quality reviews, and escalate functional, quality, and timeline issues
  • Track milestones, adjust plans/resources as needed, and coordinate communications with cross-functional teams and clients on scope, budget, risk, and resource management
  • Lead project execution for Epic EHR implementations and related clinical applications, ensuring alignment with PMBOK-based methodologies and organizational PMO standards

Position Overview:

*Areas of expertise must include Epic EHR module implementations.

*PMP Certification is highly desired.

Responsible for the management of multiple medium-sized projects and/or large-sized projects. Assists in the establishment and implementation of Sutter digital project management operations (PMO) project management processes and methodologies for the information services (IS) community to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards, and meet client expectations. Accountable for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality reviews, and escalating functional, quality, and timeline issues. Responsible for the tracking of key project milestones, adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of clients, and coordinating communication with other teams and clients in relation to scope of management, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort being managed.

EDUCATION:

Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

  • Bachelor's degree: Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 years recent relevant experience

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge of general Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK), project management methodologies and/or Sutter Health’s project methodology.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Word, SharePoint, and Excel
  • Ability to use basic English words and phrases to effectively and clearly organize and communicate thoughts and ideas.
  • Ability to make presentations to persuade others to accept a specific opinion or action, or to provide information and instruction.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with audiences across all areas and levels within Sutter Health as well as external organizations.
  • Ability to analyze information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures to identify patterns, tendencies, and relationships resulting in the formulation of logical and objective conclusions.
  • Ability to organize workflow to accomplish established objectives.
  • Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.
  • Preferred:  experience in using Strategic Portfolio Management within the ServiceNow platform.

Pay Range is $114,774.40 to $172,161.60 / annual salary

The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
