The Lead Cloud Solutions Engineer Supports development of cloud implementation strategy within organization's existing IT infrastructure. The Lead Cloud Solutions Engineer works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
The Lead Cloud Solutions Engineer Implements organization's cloud strategy from a technical perspective, including design, planning, integration, maintenance and support of cloud architecture. May work with partners across organization to evaluate cloud systems Collaborate with product managers and engineers to develop specifications for new cloud-based products/services, applications and solutions. Guide the roll-out of cloud management platforms, evaluate its performance and implement enhancements. Advise executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercise independent decision making on complex issues regarding job responsibilities and related tasks, and works independently. Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

Responsibilities
- Be a Subject Matter Expert to our organization for Azure cloud and virtualization end-to-end architecture. I also provide expertise in IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions, including Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, and Data Warehouse, among others.
- Develop and maintain a library of deployable, tested, and documented automation design scripts and processes.
- Ensure DevOps development activities and complex development tasks to involve working with tools such as Docker, Kubernetes and container management systems.
- Provide advanced system administration (Infrastructure as Code), operational support and problem resolution for a complex cloud computing environment in Azure
- Design, configure, implement and support an automated workflow for cloud and virtual environment provisioning
- Implement production changes during defined maintenance windows and support on call rotation
- Perform cloud computing and virtual environment buildouts, software maintenance and support
- Write and maintain documentation of relevant operating procedures and processes.
- Design, develop, and build the business-oriented cloud infrastructure architecture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Computer Engineering), or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- 5 or more years of experience in IT systems installation, operations, administration, and maintenance of virtualized servers / cloud systems
- Proficient knowledge of infrastructure design and components, such as servers, operating systems, networks, and storage
- Good consultative communication skills are a must, as you will regularly interact between different teams which are distributed across the US.
- Hands-on experience scripting/development skills in Shell, PowerShell, Python, Java in a corporate environment
- Strong Hands-on experience with: Azure DevOps and Pipelines, Terraform, Azure Resource Manager, Kubernetes, GitHub, and configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible
- Experience using and administering: Databricks
- Experience using Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiar with modern big data process and API-based webservice architecture.
- Experience architecting, implementing and maintaining available mission-critical environments for 24x7 availability
- Experience working in an environment with a defined production change control process
- Relevant experience with configuration and implementation of IaaS, Infrastructure as code, Azure, etc.
- Demonstrated history of working within deadlines and
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

- Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership
- Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
- Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
- Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$129,300 - $177,800 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
