Job Summary

The Nurse Practitioner functions within their scope of practice as a healthcare provider working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients and families. They demonstrate a high degree of clinical expertise in working with patients with acute and chronic illnesses.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise the care of critically ill patients.
Performs comprehensive history and physical assessments of patients that are thorough, complete, concise, relevant, and appropriate for age, gender and tailored to the patient’s clinical condition.
Manages general medical and surgical conditions based on knowledge of the indications, contraindications, side effects, interactions and adverse reactions of pharmacologic agents and other relevant treatment modalities.
Facilitates consistent, coordinated care and clear communication among all members of the healthcare team.
Maintains accurate, complete, concise, and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.

Minimum Job Requirements

Nurse Practitioner require Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from an accredited nursing program
Authorized to work in the U.S.
2 years of Nurse Practitioner experience preferred
Board Certified in Acute Care
Active State license and DEA

· Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing/documentation.

· Fast-paced environment with occasional high pressure or emergent situations.
