We're looking for an intermediate to senior Magento 2 developer to join our platform team and work on Magento 2 extensions powering international commerce for our merchants. Our modules handle cross-border order import, duty & tax calculation, international checkout, and shipment fulfillment integrations. This is a hands-on backend engineering role in a modular, well-tested PHP codebase with real production impact: the code you write processes live international orders for merchants around the world.

Responsibilities

• Implement new features driving our customer’s business
• Extend and maintain order import and processing pipeline
• Build and maintain integrations with Glopal's external APIs
• Write unit and integration tests and keep coverage healthy
• Maintain code quality and debug operational issues

Must Have

• 2+ years of professional Magento 2 backend development experience
• Solid understanding of Magento's Dependency Injection system
  (constructor injection, virtual types, preferences, plugins, observers)
• Experience with the repository pattern, resource models, and schema upgrades
• Practical knowledge of extending the Magento checkout flow (totals, validators)
• PHP 8 proficiency including interfaces, strict types, SOLID principles
• Experience writing PHPUnit tests (unit and integration) with mocks and stubs
• Comfortable consuming REST APIs in PHP and working with JSON-based DTOs
• Git, Composer, and Docker for day-to-day development workflow
• Excellent written and spoken English, comfortable with working in an international environment

Nice to Have

• Experience with ERP / OMS / WMS / Back-office tools in the e-commerce domain
• Knowledge of international tax and duty concepts (VAT, import duties, landed cost)
• Familiarity with frontend web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript…)
• Experience with Magento Cloud platform, Varnish Cache and CDN optimizations
