Compensation: $40,000.00 - $52,0000.00.

 The base compensation range for this role is fixed, with a maximum cap of $52,000.00. We want to be transparent about this as we continue discussions.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM, Field Travel & Work From Home

Graham Healthcare Group is hiring a Hospice Volunteer Coordinator to join our dynamic team! The Hospice Volunteer Coordinator will plan, coordinate, and manage all volunteer program activities in the organization. Assist them in the transition to Hospice care when the patient is both eligible and appropriate for Hospice services.

Hospice Volunteer Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Develop and run the Hospice Volunteer program under the guidelines of Hospice regulations
  • Recruit, educate, and select volunteers
  • Determine a need for volunteer services with the patient and family/caregiver and entire Hospice team
  • Develop a volunteer orientation/documented checklist program
  • Supervise and evaluate volunteers in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Maintain monthly statistics
  • Work with Human Resources on maintaining volunteer personnel files
  • Reevaluate volunteer program as necessary
  • Coordinate support/education meetings
  • Attends interdisciplinary group meetings to update on patient status
  • Provide information to individuals and community groups about Hospice volunteer services
  • All other duties assigned by supervisor

Hospice Volunteer Coordinator Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred
  • Healthcare experience preferred
  • Hospice and/or volunteer experience preferred
  • Competence and proficiency in understanding the Hospice Volunteer program
  • Understands the Hospice philosophy
  • Ability to supervise, coordinate, and evaluate volunteer services
  • Ability to organize and develop volunteer Hospice personnel for both patient and organizational needs
  • Ability to manage a group of individuals providing volunteer time and who will be considered employees
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented collaborative environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Good team-building skills
  • Basic computer skills
