Senior Murex Consultant (Front Office, Risk & Reporting)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Murex Consultant to support the implementation and enhancement of Murex modules across Front Office (FO), Risk, and Reporting, as well as contribute to the development and enrichment of Mxtest (automated non-regression testing tool).

In this role, you will work closely with Front Office, Middle Office, Risk teams, and Project Management, ensuring successful delivery of Murex-related projects and system improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Murex modules (FO, MLC, Reporting, Mxtest).
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.
  • Lead the full lifecycle of implementations: design, build, test, and deployment to production.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
  • Ensure coordination across teams for smooth implementation and deployment.
  • Develop and execute non-regression test cases using Mxtest.
  • Contribute to test documentation and go-live sign-off processes.
  • Deliverables
  • Functional and technical requirements documentation.
  • Solution design documents in collaboration with business teams.
  • UAT test cases and execution support.
  • Development of Murex FO, MO, Risk, and Reporting modules.
  • Maintenance and execution of automated test scenarios (Mxtest).
  • Participation in go-live readiness and validation.

Required Experience & Skills

Technical Expertise

Strong experience with the Murex financial system.

Solid understanding of financial instruments, including:

o Fixed Income

o Money Markets

o Interest Rate Swaps

o Cross Currency Swaps

o Foreign Exchange derivatives

Ability to interact effectively with FO, MO, and Risk teams using industry terminology (e.g., Market Value, DV01, VaR).


Experience Requirements

Minimum 10 years of experience with Murex in financial institutions.

At least 10 years in Front Office implementations.

Minimum 8 years of experience in:

o Reporting implementation

o MLC and VaR

o Mxtest (non-regression testing)

Functional & Technical Skills


Strong expertise in:

o Front Office modules

o Reporting solutions

o Risk functionalities

o Mxtest / Onyx implementation


Knowledge of:

o Dynamic Tables

o Trade Lifecycle

o Simulation Views

o Trade Query

o P&L, Market Value, Risk metrics

o DataMart reporting

o End-to-end (one-stop) processing


Working Conditions

Engagement Type: Full-time (unless otherwise agreed)

Work Location: Primarily remote (off-site)

Governance & Reporting

  • Provide regular progress updates on deliverables, risks, and issues.
  • Participate in status meetings (remote or in-person).
  • Ensure alignment with stakeholder expectations through continuous feedback loops.
