Position Summary

The Field Services Supervisor manages and directs a team of field technicians with full responsibility for the planning, execution, and performance of maintenance and repair operations across multiple client locations. This role exercises independent judgment and discretion in overseeing daily field operations, establishing priorities, and ensuring work is completed efficiently, on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.

The Field Services Supervisor is accountable for workforce management, including scheduling, resource allocation, and cost control, and plays a key role in evaluating technician performance, providing coaching and development, and making recommendations regarding hiring, discipline, and advancement. This position regularly assesses operational needs, identifies process improvements, and implements solutions to enhance service delivery and team productivity.

Through routine site visits and performance reviews, the Field Services Supervisor monitors field execution, resolves complex operational issues, and ensures adherence to company standards and client expectations. The role drives a culture of proactive maintenance, high customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and develop field technicians, including scheduling, performance management, training, and disciplinary actions.
  • Direct and manage daily field operations and work order flow, exercising independent judgment to prioritize assignments, allocate resources, and ensure quality, productivity, and service standards are met.
  • Ensure timely, in-scope completion of work by managing materials, tools, staffing, and resolving operational gaps, reassignments, and urgent issues.
  • Monitor work quality through review of work orders, photos, and customer feedback; provide coaching and corrective action to reduce callbacks and improve performance.
  • Conduct regular field visits, including store walkthroughs and completion of minor repairs, to assess performance, ensure compliance with standards, and resolve complex maintenance issues.
  • Provide technical leadership and training across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance.
  • Establish and enforce standardized maintenance best practices to improve efficiency, consistency, and cost control.
  • Drive proactive maintenance efforts to identify and resolve issues before client escalation.
  •  Address escalated customer concerns and ensure timely resolution of service issues and complaints.
  •  Support resource planning and procurement to meet operational and project demands.
  •  Report operational performance trends and recommendations to leadership.
  •  Perform additional duties as required to support business objectives.

  • Process Improvement: Adept at identifying inefficiencies, implementing best practices, and driving continuous improvement across field operations.
  • Communication: Ability to clearly convey expectations, provide feedback, and report insights and trends to leadership.
  • Safety & Compliance: Experienced in promoting and maintaining a safe work environment in alignment with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Accountability: Adept at holding self and team accountable for performance, quality, and service delivery outcomes.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience working in a trade–related environment, preferably managing people.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Post-secondary education in related fields, preferred.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of project management principles.
  • Valid Driver’s license in good standing without restrictions.
  • Proven organizational skills and detail orientation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous success working in a highly collaborative team-based environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50lbs
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Comfortable working on ladders, rooftops, and in various weather conditions.
  • Willing and able to travel throughout the United States as necessary and required.
Salary Description
$55,000 - $85,000 per year
