Senior JD Edwards World Technical Consultant (AS/400)

Brij has an immediate, part-time, ad-hoc contract opportunity for an experienced JD Edwards World Technical Consultant with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.  This is a hands-on, high-impact role ideal for a senior consultant who thrives in fast-paced environments and takes pride in delivering clean, scalable solutions. 

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, document, and maintain Oracle software applications using RPG programming language on the AS400 platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions to meet client's business requirements.
• Perform unit testing and debugging of software applications to ensure functionality and reliability.
• Modify and enhance existing programs to improve performance and usability.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting of real-time production issues.
• Document code and software development processes for future reference.
• Deliver high quality work products on time with minimal direction.

• 10+ years of proven hands-on AS400 programming expertise.
• Experience with RPG, RPGLE, CL, CLLE, DB400, SQLRPGLE, ILE Concept.
• Advanced knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and programming principles.
• Experience supporting Oracle applications.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Distraction-free remote workspace/home office, with ability to join video meetings.
• Immediately available ~5-10 hours/week, between 8am-6pm EST.
