Job Title: Guidewire Business Analyst

Role Objective

The Guidewire Business Analyst serves as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and the technical team. This role is responsible for defining claims lifecycles, FNOL (First Notice of Loss) flows, and adjudication logic within the Guidewire Cloud ecosystem. The analyst ensures that Jutro-based digital portals are fully aligned with core Guidewire functionality and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Requirement Gathering:
    Lead workshops and stakeholder discussions to gather and define requirements across FNOL, Exposure Management, Reserves, Payments, and Subrogation.
  • Cloud-First Configuration:
    Utilize Advanced Product Designer (APD) to create mind maps and solution blueprints, ensuring a “configuration over customization” approach.
  • Digital Alignment:
    Collaborate with UI/UX teams to map backend data elements to Jutro Digital front-end components.
  • Functional Design:
    Develop detailed Functional Design Documents (FDDs) and create user stories in Jira, including acceptance criteria and mockups.
  • Testing & QA:
    Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by defining test scenarios and ensuring deliverables meet “Definition of Done” and cloud readiness standards.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    Effectively manage stakeholder expectations, particularly around Guidewire Out-of-the-Box (OOTB) capabilities versus custom enhancements.

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong functional expertise in Guidewire ClaimCenter (version 10 or above).
  • Hands-on experience with Guidewire Cloud, including APD (Advanced Product Designer) and Cloud Console (from a business analyst perspective).
  • Proven experience in requirement gathering, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder management.
  • Deep understanding of the Property & Casualty (P&C) Claims lifecycle, including First Party, Third Party, Litigated Claims, and Total Loss.
  • Strong knowledge of FNOL processes, claims adjudication, exposure management, reserves, payments, and subrogation.
  • Experience working in Agile environments with expertise in writing Gherkin-style user stories (Given/When/Then).
  • Ability to create Functional Design Documents (FDDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience supporting UAT and defining test scenarios.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Jutro Digital platform and front-end integration.
  • Understanding of Guidewire Cloud API integrations with external vendors such as ISO, Mitchell, and enterprise systems.
  • Familiarity with UI/UX collaboration and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Prior experience working in a cloud-first transformation program.
  • Exposure to insurance digital portals and customer experience platforms.
  • Knowledge of Jira and Agile project management tools.
