Dealer Relations Representative III
The pay range for this position is listed below. Our pay ranges are built to allow for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered, as well as for room for growth and tenure achieved in a role over time. Typical new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates. Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their unique set of knowledge, skills, education, and experience as well as internal equity.

What You’ll Be Doing
Directly responsible for developing business from auto dealers to meet SchoolsFirst loan volume and loan quality goals.
- Promotes indirect loan products and services to franchise & independent automobile dealerships within an assigned territory by effectively partnering with dealerships to maximize dealer performance, increase penetration and visibility of loan products and services and strengthen SchoolsFirst relationships with new and existing dealerships.
- Produce and evaluate monthly competitor rate sheet & identify possibilities for process and product improvements.
- Produce weekly & monthly activity reports and scorecards to track dealer and representative’s performance. Analyze and track dealer data, make recommendations on adding, terminating dealers to network, improving business relationships and loan application/funding volume.
- Sign up new franchised & non-franchised dealers consistent with targets, including following up on all pending approvals, assembling dealer packages for review & increasing new loan applications & funded loan volume across the board.
- Partner with dealer Finance & Insurance, General Sales Manager’s, General Manager’s and dealer principals to increase month over month funded loan volume. Acts as a liaison as it relates to funding, underwriting and service issues.
- Maintains direct and regular contact with assigned dealership and manages the quality and consistency of loan product and service delivery amongst dealerships.
- Prepares action plans to identify specific targets to meet goals and to project the number of contacts to be made. Cold call franchise and independent dealers to sign them into program.
- Market the dealers on the benefits of participation through on-site dealer visits/presentations, as well as outbound and inbound calls.

- Complies with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements including but not limited to BSA regulations corresponding to their specific job duties. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary and other employment related actions
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience preferred
- 5-7 years of previous related experience required
- Previous experience in prime & non-prime indirect auto finance required, preferably in the areas of sales/marketing/underwriting or dealership experience required
- Participation in the CA DMV pull program may be required depending on assignment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of the local market and extensive dealer relationships in the area
- Strong franchise and non-franchised dealership operations knowledge
- Demonstrated ability to develop business relationships with dealer principals and decision makers
- Displays knowledge of credit union organization
- Complies with legal and regulatory guidelines
- Well developed business management, presentation, and relationship selling skills
- Strong F&I sales skills required and the ability to work independently
- Strong communication skills & reliable transportation a must.
