Medihive is excited to announce that we are recruiting a talented Finance Manager to join our team. This role aims to further develop our market-leading position in Ireland as the most prominent and longest-standing telehealth provider. Reporting to the CFO we are looking for a Finance Manager to oversee and manage its financial operations. This position offers the opportunity to lead a small, remote finance team while playing a key role in the preparation and production of management accounts, financial planning, and analysis. A deep understanding of technical accounting standards, especially FRS102, and experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite is desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Management Accounting
○ Prepare, review, and analyse monthly management accounts, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
○ Oversee the monthly close process, including reconciliation of general ledger, balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow statements.
○ Provide insightful commentary on financial performance, highlighting variances, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
○ Assist the CFO with the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing guidance to senior management.
○ Prepare quarterly and annual financial reports, highlighting key business insights and supporting strategic decision-making.
○ Develop financial models to support decision-making, long-term strategic planning, and project evaluation.
○ Monitor cash flow, working capital, and ensure effective use of financial resources.
Technical Accounting & Compliance
○ Lead liaison with auditors to facilitate the year-end audit process and ensure a smooth and efficient audit cycle.
○ Ensure compliance with FRS102 and other relevant financial reporting frameworks and standards.
○ Oversee the preparation and filing of annual statutory accounts and tax returns in accordance with Irish regulations.
○ Keep abreast of changes to accounting standards, tax laws, and industry best practices, ensuring continuous compliance.
Team Management
○ Manage, mentor, and develop a small, remote-based finance team.
○ Set clear objectives and performance targets for the team and conduct regular performance reviews.
○ Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment to enhance team performance and professional development.
Systems & Process Improvement
○ Lead liaison in completion of Netsuite migration project.
○ Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiencies across the finance function.
○ Collaborate with IT or other relevant departments to integrate new financial systems or enhance current platforms.
Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting
○ Support CFO in preparation of financial reports and presentations for senior leadership and key stakeholders.
○ Provide regular financial updates to management, ensuring they are informed of financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
○ Work closely with other departments (e.g., Clinical Operations, Commercial, Engineering) to understand business needs and provide financial insights to support decision-making.
Skills & Qualifications:
Essential:
○ ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent accounting qualification.
○ Strong working knowledge of FRS102
○ Proven experience in management accounting, financial planning & analysis, and technical accounting.
○ Extensive experience with financial systems, desirable ERP level applications
○ Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level), and other reporting tools.
○ Experience in managing remote teams with the ability to lead and motivate team members.
○ Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
Desirable:
○ Experience in the tech or startup sectors.
○ Knowledge of additional accounting standards, including IFRS or other international frameworks.
○ Experience in ERP migration projects
○ Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
○ Familiarity with tax compliance, VAT, and other local financial regulations.
